This motel was exactly what my family of three was looking for while staying in the BlackHills of South Dakota. The room was tidy and well kept. The motel itself was the same. In good shape and kept well and a charming reminder of what a old fashioned motel is supposed to be.
We enjoyed the large indoor pool and hot tub during an afternoon rain shower.
The staff was friendly and helpful. One of the owners gave us information on recommended sites to see "off the beaten path"
There was food, shopping, local laundry and fuel all with sight of the Chief Motel.
The $1.99 breakfast special was excellent from a local diner within walking distance of the motel and the value saved us nearly $20. I would recommend and stay there again.
Easy driving distance from Crazy Horse, Custer Park and Mount Rushmore.
