“Excellent food and very friendly service !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2013

My husband and I stayed at the Comfort Inn across the street from this restaurant, and someone of the reception staff said that this was one of the best restaurants in town.
We weren't disappointed !

The staff was very friendly and welcoming.
They seated us quickly, explained about the specials of the day, and asked us if we wanted soup or salad as first course, because that was included in the price of the main courses.

The food was very tasty; in fact it was the best American fare we had during our entire trip.

We were sorry that we only could dine here one time, because we certainly would have returned here if we had stayed another night in Custer.

“Convenient and fine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2013

This restaurant in Custer is located in walking distance of the Holiday Inn Express where we stayed for 3 nights. The food and service were fine, so we had dinner twice at this cosy place.

“Great place for seafood!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2013

A seasonal restaurant that does a commendable job with seafood. The two of us tried the trout and the shrimp, and were not disappointed. Prices for these items were reasonable, although some menu items are a bit pricy. Service was friendly and professional, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Bottom line: a good place to eat during the season. If traveling here in the winter, check opening dates and hours before you go.

“Good Food & Great Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

We ate our first meal here because the restaurant was right in front of the hotel we were staying at. The greeting was friendly, seating was quick and they had a booth available. Menu prices were consistent with other restaurants we experienced during our trip, however, with soup or salad included and a free glass of wine with dinner entree for patrons staying at nearby hotels, the value quotient jumped quickly. We ended up eating there twice during our stay, the prime rib was excellent both times, the other items were average. The "Captain's" portion of the menu is mostly fish and shrimp so we would not recommend this as "seafood" restaurant. We'll definitely return when we're in the area.
