Vacation trip the first week in March. Really good, quiet location just 2 short blocks (it is an old city---blocks are shorter) from the hotel on Camp St to the trolley lines at Canal St. Canal St is also the edge of the French Quarter. Bourbon St is two blocks north on Canal. We walked everywhere from this hotel or took the trolley ($3 all day or 40 cents per ride for seniors). If we were tired, we waited for a trolley at the corner of Camp/Chartres St and Canal St to go to the River, the French Market, Café du Monde, or the Garden District. The valet parking was $30 per day with in/out privileges but we never needed our car. The room was large and clean with a microwave, refrigerator, and a comfortable bed. The breakfast was good with the usual waffles, cereal, fruit, toast, bagels, juice, milk and coffee was available all day. The front desk was very helpful and we booked a good New Orleans city tour through them on a small size tour bus that could navigate the narrow streets of the French Quarter (no full size buses allowed). Had a "great" hamburger across the street on their recommendation after our tired, late arrival. A big plus was that we felt safe at this hotel---people were still walking by in the late evening hours.
