“LA QUINTA : AN AFFORDABLE OPTION FOR N ORLEANS”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2011

This hotel is centrally located in downton New Orleans, close to the river, Bourbon Street and the Convention Center. the walking distance to the french quartes is three blocks and the river is at least 5 blocks from the hotel.
The rooms are pracious and clean. The furniture is moden and the decoration too. The floors are on wood. The bathrooms are bigs and has convenient amenities.
The free breakfast is limited but enough.
The staff at the front desk is not always nice. May be rude in some cases.
The relationship between price and service is in average very good.
I do recommend this hotel

La Quinta is 2 blocks from the French Quarter and near the St Charles & Canal street cars as well as busses. The free breakfast is good, the rooms big and clean, and the staff helpfull. Beds comfortable. It is at the edge of the business district, but it doesnt seem set up for business travellers. Water pressure is low, thats my only complaint.

I stayed at La Quinta Downtown for the AERA 2011 conference in New Orleans. I was concerned because I had hurt my leg and I was worried about not being close enough, but this hotel was near every thing - bourbon street and the main convention hotels. THe staff went out of their way to be friendly and accommodating. In fact, the business center printer was out of ink and people were having 20 and 40 page documents printed for them at the desk.. (which I found like they were going above and beyond). Their cleaning staff was very friendly and polite and always said hello. Their breakfast area was very clean and they were constantly restocking. They had bagels, cereal, eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt and waffles. The rooms were very quiet, I never heard neighbors. The only thing I would say while stylish the rooms were not as pristine as a 300 dollar a night hotel - (ie.. there was a little dirt in the corners).. I found it sanitary and well maintained but not perfect.. but let's be serious .. if those wall could talk.. I bet cleaning a hotel 3 blocks from Bourbon Street is a challenge. I had a king room that had a fridge and microwave which was great. Internet was a little spotty, had to reopen my browser several times.. but my conference is an internet hog!

Room Tip: odd floor rooms have ice and $1.25 soda machines

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel in 3 years. It is a reliably clean hotel with spacious rooms and modern furniture. The beds are comfortable and the linens clean. The hotel is well maintained. Free internet is a plus. Breakfast is sufficicient for the price (free), though the coffee often ran out when busy.
The price was an excellent value (averaged under $100 per night for a 5 night stay).
It is not an historic French Quarter hotel with all the ambiance of the interior courtyards, but you dan depend on a good night's sleep, a good price, a clean room, clean and functioning bathroom, and a friendly welcome from the staff. This is well positioned for attending business functions in the financial district, it is close to the casino and conference centers, and also a short walk into the quarter.

The hotel was fantastic. I love complaining, but there was nothing to
complain about! They are doing a great job. Everything was top notch, especially for the price.

Room Tip: There are suites on the top floor.

I like this hotel. It's conveniently located between French Quarter and the Convention Center. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. I checked and did not see any signs of bed bugs. I will return if I come to NOLA again.

While it's not a quaint French Quarter hotel, this hotel is a great choice for your stay in the city. The fanciest La Quinta I have ever stayed in. It seems as if the rooms have recently been redecorated, with tasteful wooden flooring, quirky bathroom layout and flat screen TV. Huge comfortable beds too.
Location is perfect - 10 mins walk max to the French Quarter. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
