We were in town for triathlon, 2 weeks after the stay they hadn't removed a $195 security deposit charge. I called, they told me it would disappear within 10 business days, so I waited, it was still there 3 weeks after our stay. I called and was told it was a charge for smoking in our room. I have never smoked a cigarette in my life. The woman was very argumentative and accusatory, she told me they found evidence and the manager that fined us wouldn't be available until until the next week. I was very upset and started crying, then all of a sudden the manager who wasn't available until next week got on and told me we would be refunded. They never emailed or called, or told us they were billing us. They were extremely unprofessional.

The front desk service was very rude and unhelpful. The showers were the worst I have ever used. There was hardly any water pressure, and one day we had NO HOT WATER! The sink leaked all over the floor. When I informed the front desk of the problem they told me it happens to all hotels and were very rude and dismissive. If I could rate it lower I would.

Thank you for your participation with the St. Charles Ave. Presbyterian Church in hosting groups like ours from West Virginia who visit New Orleans to assist with the rebuilding efforts after Katrina. You provide a convenient, comfortable place for volunteer workers to stay. My wife and I chose to stay for an additional night at the end of our group's week. Thanks.

The property is quite tattered and needs some cosmetic maintenance and a thorough cleaning. I found the lobby furniture grungy to the point I would'nt want to sit in the chairs. The room I had was large, but the batroom was filthy, and there was trash in the corners which housekeeping hadn't picked up. I would look elsewhere to stay next visit.
