“Great Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013

We have stayed at the Prince Conti on several different occasions. You will not find a better deal for your money in the French Quarter. The location is great, 3/4 block off Bourbon, so it isn't so loud you can't sleep but still close to all the action. The rooms are a good size with comfortable beds and clean. Not a big fancy hotel, but if you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel in the Quarter this is your place. The staff is friendly and helpful with any needs.

Stayed here for 3 nights, very nice hotel just around the corner from Bourbon St. Once you turn the street to go to the hotel, you really can't hear the noise from all the partying. Its very nicely decorated and the room sizes are decent too. Free WiFi was also available for guests. Its in walking distance to everything in and around the French Quarter and they have a nice restaurant adjacent where you can get a tasty breakfast.
I would recommend this hotel and I would be happy to stay there again too.

I've just spent four very pleasant nights at the Prince Conti Hotel in New Orleans.

The staff at the hotel are warm and welcoming, check-in was easy and painless, and our room, though basic, was clean and very comfortable. It's a great price, too. My only criticism about the room would be that it's a bit dark, which makes finding adaptors, toothpaste, clean socks a bit difficult.

The front of the hotel is lit with gorgeous gas lanterns and presents beautifully on the street. The decor is charming and quaint, echoing the city's (among many) Spanish roots. It's superbly located on Conti Street, close to Bourbon Street (not my scene, but I understand this is a thing), Royal Street, downtown New Orleans ... pretty much everything.

The hotel has free wi-fi and it's a great connection.

By way of final observation - and this in no way affected how I rated my experience - please, if you are coming to New Orleans, be mindful of the fact that not everybody comes to party. Some of us want to hold baby alligators, listen to jazz, do vampire tours, not have vomit in our hair.

Unfortunately, it's the eternal conceit of the alcoholic that everyone's out to have a wild and raucous time. But no. Some of us have done our time (in rehab). We're over it. If you come in during the wee hours of the morning, please be respectful of other guests. Stagger to your room quietly and please don't loiter and shout in the corridor. Perhaps the hotel could post some signage to this effect, but leave off the vomit part?

I loved my stay at the Prince Conti and would happily recommend the hotel to other travellers.

Stayed overnight in an interior room. It was quiet and clean, with on-site parking. The beds were comfortable, and staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay there again! The hotel is right around the corner from Bourbon Street, and a short walk from the French Corner. I recommend making reservations online or by phone if using any discounts, or bring coupon. You can not park in the on-site parking until you have a room or reservation, and parking can very hard to find. Otherwise, it was a great stay!

This hotel is just off Bourbon Street. Very friendly staff. Our room was big in a corner. Quiet. Older with somewhat dated fixtures. Actually the funk adds to the ambiance. Not enough light (you are going to read in NOLA?). Old TV (who needs TV in NOLA?). Pillows too fat (who sleeps in NOLA?)

We've stayed at the Prince Conti so many times, it feels like home. We go down to NO once or twice a year for a get away. Always ask for the same room. They are very accommodating about requests if you get them in early enough. They always store our bags and let us into the room as soon as it's ready, no waiting until check in. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Everybody else talks about the location, so I won't bore you with that. Is an older hotel, but they do try to keep it updated. Our room, we noticed first thing, had a new bed cover and pillows. Is old, quaint, friendly, has a great location and is a bargain. What more could you want? Maybe the best martini bar in all of New Orleans. It has that too with surprise this year. $3 happy hour 4-7 and live music starts at 7. One more added attraction, they have a computer set up in the lobby to print boarding passes. Since we usually fly SW, that is a real help. Have fun.

I will stay at the Prince Conti when I return to NOLA. We stayed in a suite. Nice big rooms. Very clean. Our room did not have ceiling fans. Our fellow travelers stayed in an executive suite that had a private courtyard and full kitchen. Really nice!
