“One of the best stays we have ever had!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago

My wife and I had to drive through New Orleans on a trip from Atlanta to Houston and decided it would be a good halfway stopping point. We have stayed in New Orleans many times and have stayed at many levels of hotels from the Ritz to a Quality Inn. My wife found the Hotel Mazarin on Jetsetter and Trip Advisor. At the time it was ranked #2 in New Orleans. We are glad we booked it. Although it was for only one night it was one of the nicest stays we have ever had anywhere and that's saying something. We booked the summer package. It included parking, a great full American breakfast, two drink coupons for their bar, and a truly beautiful room with a huge bathroom and walk in shower. A lot of rooms in New Orleans are small this was not the case. Even if you do not get the package your stay will include the breakfast, free wifi, free bottled water, and a huge flat screen TV. The staff was top notch as well. They were friendly, helpful and you really got the feeling they cared for their guest. The location is perfect located between Bourbon and Royal so step away from the party or turn the other way and shop at the jewelry and antique shops. Our only negative is that we only stayed here for one night. On our return trip we stayed at their sister property the Hotel Le Marais which was nice but the Hotel Mazarin is a step above from top to bottom.

Room Tip: Summer package is by far the best deal in New Orleans

We stayed here 5 nights right before Essence Festival. The first night we had a suite with a balcony but it was too noisy. The staff was amazingly nice and accommodating and moved us to another room for the rest of our stay. Once we moved to a room facing the courtyard it was a much quieter experience. The staff was consistently awesome, and breakfast was delicious and home cooked each morning. The room was beautiful but had a slight odor; yet I noticed the staff put in a room freshener without our asking. The hotel provided free bottled water each day, which was super responsive since it was so hot and humid. Robes and slippers were also provided. The business center was fully functional with high speed internet that didn't require a password. Hotel Mazarin was clean, beautiful, and 1 block from Bourbon Street and everything else in the French Quarter. You are truly in the center of everything and I would return.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the courtyard are quieter. There wasn't a pool or a restaurant in the hotel yet th...

My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Mazarin. Everything was exceptional and we plan to come back very soon. I couldn't have a better stay. Everyone was very nice and the room was beautiful. Everything was in walking distance.

We spent five nights at the Hotel Mazarin and were delighted with our choice. It is an easy walk to Bourbon Street (1/2 block) and Royal Street (1/2 block), and about two blocks to New Orleans' famous streetcars, which are a convenient and inexpensive way to see the city.

The morning breakfasts were varied and delicious. The staff were helpful, if you needed something not on the buffet.

The front desk and lobby personnel were friendly and anxious to assist.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in New Orleans.

Room Tip: If possible, get a room facing the courtyard on the second floor. I think there is less noise.

We recently stayed at Hotel Mazarin for 4 nights. The staff were outstanding in each area. Breakfast staff, front desk and Concierge. Each and every person went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Bottled water is offered to you each time you leave the hotel. When we arrived the courtyard was covered in a tarp but was later removed and so much prettier without it. We stayed in room 310 which was tucked away in a corner and although view was of rooftop room the room was very quiet. The location is great as you are close enough to the hub bub but far enough from the craziness of Bourbon Street. The centre courtyard was a lovely place to enjoy breakfast by the fountain. A great find!!!

We stayed here during 4 nights in room 208 who is located in the courtyard. Unfortunatelly there is a very beautiful but loud fountain in this courtyard, which isn't switched off during the night! And of course the walls are thick as paper so you hear everything: the fountain, breakfast that's being served in the courtyard from 7 AM, what your neighbour beside you does, when your neighbour from upstairs uses the bathroom...... If you want to sleep, choose another hotel. Their breakfast was really good, staff was friendly and the Bar Vin was really good!

What a wonderful boutique hotel right off the "decadent" Burbon Street, yet totally elegant, peaceful, and inviting! It was like entering a paradise stepping off "steamy and aromatic" Burbon & Bienville Street into the hotel Lobby. The covered courtyard remained as cool as an early spring day and a perfect place for us to relax and reflect on our day or just to read a book for a few unscheduled minutes. The hotel room was large with its black onyx marble flooring, running the length and width of the room right into an exceptional walk in shower large enough for two....without benefit of any door...we felt like we were at home in our own shower with similar design. Double sinks in the dressing area provided an extra plus to our stay. We were pleasantly surprised to NOT hear any noise from Burbon Street during the wee hours of the morning. All and All this hotel was more than what we could have asked for. The entire staff was extremely accommodating and went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible, offering superb suggestions for sightseeing and dining.

Room Tip: 5th Floor rooms keep you out of the Burbon Street noise and with the nearby stairs, offer a good exe...
