“The best boutique hotel in New Orleans”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

Just returned from staying 3 nights at this wonderful boutique hotel in New Orleans. The location was superb, walking distance to everywhere in the French Quarter and my room was lovely. I especially loved the tile floors throughout my room. Everything was very clean and very modern with no sign of wear. An added touch was a full buffet breakfast in the morning and unlimited bottles of water. A great way to start your morning. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
I would like to mention that on the weekends the hotel often host events in their courtyard. This can be noisy so request a quiet room away from the courtyard.
I look forward to staying here again the next time I am in New Orleans. A true gem in the heart of the French Quarter.

Room Tip: Request a room off the courtyard due to occasional receptions held outdoors.

We stayed here October 28 till the 31st. It was an excellent very elegant room. Very clean and spacious. The beds were amazing. Everyday they have a breakfast included with your stay. Everything was so good. Eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh cut fruit, bagels, toast, cereals, juices, coffee, tea, on and on, so many more choices. The entire staff was very efficient, and so friendly and helpful. The location could not be beat, 1 block off of Bourbon. Stay here, its great!

This hotel is in the perfect spot! It is so close to bourbon street and all the locations you want to see - yet you would never know you were in so close to the action. It is so quiet you would think you were miles away. The rooms were very clean, spacious and decorated like greatly more expensive hotels. We had a room behind the courtyard and it was fabulous. Staff were so friendly and helpful - nothing was a problem. Would recommend this to everyone! Will certainly be staying here in future hopefully.

Room Tip: We found rooms behind the courtyard area very quiet.

A real gem in a terrific location. The entrance is beautiful, the rooms are spacious, well equipped, clean, quiet, tastefully decorated. The hotel has a great bar for the final nightcap before turning in.

Hotel Mazarin in the French Quarter is well worth the cost. Recently we were on business and had time for leisure fun in New Orleans, Louisiana. We stayed at the Hotel Mazarin for a week. The building exterior and lobby are old style Louisiana and depict a typical type of hotel from days gone by. But surprisingly, the interior rooms are modern and trendy with flat screen televisions, high style beds i.e. mansion headboard with pillow top mattress, marble floors, huge walk in showers and our balcony permitted us to view not one, but two, parades the very day we arrived! The outside courtyard was relaxing and amazingly beautiful and is where we had a fantastic breakfast every morning with staff in butler style fashion. The food from eggs to grits to French beignets were a special treat each day, not to forget the fresh-brewed coffee flowing freely! The staff was so friendly and outgoing and able to provide you with everything from extra items for your room to advice on what's happening ion Bourbon Street to making reservations at local attractions and restaurants for you! This hotel is about 3 doors away from the corner of Bourbon Street (on Bienville) and is quite the spot for just about everything New Orleans has to offer! We lunched at the restaurant Desire a few doors down from the hotel (depicted in the movie Streetcar Named Desire) to a 5-star dinner at Arnaund's where we were treated with serenading from their musicians. The Musical Legends Park was a few doors down from the Hotel Mazarin where you can hear music all afternoon through the late night hours! Last, we enjoyed the crazy, active, fast-moving crowds of partiers on Bourbon Street every night we were there! We have stayed at several hotels in New Orleans over the years but will definitely return to Hotel Mazarin! Hope this review helps you and you enjoy your stay as much as we did!

Room Tip: If you are wanting the experience of a view of parades and to sit outside to relax during your visit...

We loved this hotel and wouldn't stay anywhere else if we returned. On a quiet street but only 1/2 a block of Bourbon if you want action. Fantastic room and super clean. Great free breakfast. Staff was very helpful with suggesting restaurants in the area. Nice courtyard in center of hotel made you forget you were in the city. Very central French Quarter location made walking to any location very easy.
