“Hotel Mazarin, New Orleans a great hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

Great Hotel! It's located in the heart of the French Quarter, but what made our stay so special was the friendly yet professional service, the delicious breakfast, the upscale, clean, comfortable and quiet rooms. Louis and the welcoming and helpful bellman added to the pleasantness of the hotel. The courtyard was beautiful and a great place to have breakfast or relax with a drink from the bar next door. Your staff and wonderful hotel added to the enjoyment of our New Orleans adventure. Thank you!

All the right pieces are here - location, ambiance, comfort. good staff. Small, intimate property with good continental breakfast. Rooms recently redone are clean and well designed. This is an open air atrium layout and you would expect more street noise but we did not hear it. However outside "hallways' are not carpeted and partyers and late arriving customers with rolling luggage can wake up everyone on the floor level so bring ear plugs just in case. Even though it is New Orleans after all - the Hotel could employ some efforts to curb this. Otherwise great place. We were three couples and all would return and recommend.
Interestingly the(same) room rate was not constant for our mid week stay (Tues, Wed, Thurs was $261,$189,$324 respectively, plus tax)

The staff attends to every detail to make your visit memorable and enjoyable. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot breakfast every morning and the relaxing fountain in the beautiful courtyard. Our room was a corner suite, perfectly quiet with plenty of light and beautifully appointed with a refrigerator, safe, and cozy bed with quality linens. The location is ideal right in the heart of the french Quarter convenient to everything, yet on a very quiet street. we will return again and again!

Room Tip: We asked for the corner room away from an elevator and rod iron chairs in the courtyard and got it!

My stay at the Hotel Mazarin was everything I expected and so much more. The location is superb, in the heart of the French Quarter, but yet it is not too boisterous or noisy, making for a quiet night's sleep in a great location. Checkin was seamless and the staff was courteous, professional and helpful at all times. The ambiance is very traditional New Orleans with gas lamps and an open courtyard just off the main lobby's entrance - the open courtyard (has retractable cover) looks like it would be perfect for small wedding ceremonies or corporate lunches. Many of the rooms overlook some type of courtyard and have plantation shutters and the bed was very comfortable. The most amazing part was how totally clean this property is. I did not see a piece of trash or speck of dust on anything in the entire property (even the chair rail in one of the hallways). I even encountered a service staff member mopping the stairs one morning. The Hotel Mazarin obviously holds its staff and brand to a very high standard, and it's pretty evident as to why it is # 2 on tripadvisor (should be # 1 in my opionion). They also host meetings/wedding receptions/events in an adjacent space, La Louisiane, which is gorgeous - I was part of a corporate event there and can honestly say Hotel Mazarin treats their business guests and overnight guests with the utmost care and I am excited to go back there the next time I'm in beautiful New Orleans. Oh, I might also mention the hot breakfast is delicious and very upscale and currently included in the room rate. The attendants/staff there are very classy and helpful. I also visited the onsite gym on the first floor and they have the latest gym equipment such as multiple treadmills and other machines, including a good selection of free weights. Thanks, Hotel Mazarin!

We were looking for a place to stay that would reflect NOLA experience and we found our dream place in Hotel Mazarin. Our rooms was spacious and new. We loved the big bathroom and unique shower. We enjoyed the courtyard with the fountain and quiet atmosphere. Check in was perfect and everyone was very friendly. The beautiful and tasty breakfast was perfect. We especially enjoyed the fresh fruit. The hotel was quiet but very close to all the action in the French Quarter and not a far walk to Canal Street. We have nothing but positive things about Hotel Mazarin.

Six friends stayed for three nights. We loved our rooms, we loved the morning breakfast and the smiling, welcoming staff. We loved our three doorman/bellman who were very helpful and attentive, we loved the little bar,The front desk and maid service were terrific. Couldn't ask for a nicer place to stay and a more perfect location.

Room Tip: Ask for the larger rooms, they cost a little more but have more room to expand.

We only stayed one night after the 2013 Women's Final Four and yet it was one of the best hotels we stayed at in our month long road trip. From the time we checked in and then viewed the inner court yard we loved this place. There are no negatives about this visit. The front desk, bellhops, general staff and the breakfast crew were all delightful to be around. Our room was spacious and overlooked the beatiful interior court yard.

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for the inner court yard, not the side court yard
