“Great staff, excellent location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2012

We stayed at the Hotel Mazarin for our honeymoon last week, and it was great! The first room we were given did not match the description of the room we booked, but there were no other rooms available that night. The next day, the staff changed us to another room, and upgraded us for the troubles. There were no complaints or bad attitudes from this staff! They were also helpful with little things throughout the trip - band-aids, directions, hailing cabs, etc. The room was very comfortable, the TV was large and new, the breakfast was delicious, and our room was very quiet, despite being only one block from Bourbon Street. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: We were advised at check-in that courtyard rooms are sometimes very noisy, because the hotel rents o...

Rooms are very pretty, the beds and bedding the best I've slept in!! The floors are marble and they provide slippers for you. Free bottled water too. The courtyard and wine bar are quite a joy to relax in. A wedding was being set up in the courtyard the afternoon I left and made the area stunningly beautiful.

Great boutique hotel in a great location! Modern features with charm. If you are looking to be in the French Quarter this hotel is great. Even thought this property is only 1 block off Bourbon St the interior courtyard rooms were quite. Walking distance to just about everything, friendly staff, delicious breakfast included in the room rate.

Room Tip: If you want a quite nights sleep as for a room in the interior courtyard.

Most comfortable bed I've ever slept on and location was ideal in the French Quarter. Booked a deluxe king room. Was good size and very clean but we were placed far at the end of a hallway near the staff office and were awoken on two mornings at 7AM by hammering/renovation work right outside our door. Was amazed that they would work that early in the morning when people are obviously sleeping. Other than that, service was exceptional. Enjoyed the free breakfast of croissants, eggs, grits, bacon, juice, toast, and yogurts. Don't forget to stop in to Patrick's Bar Vin Wine Bar and speak with Angela, the bartender. She was so helpful in giving us great New Orleans recommendations!

Room Tip: I suggest requesting a room that opens to the outdoors.

Thank you for staying at Hotel Mazarin and your great review. We hand selected our guest room beds as well as the linens, we are happy to hear you enjoyed the bed, as well as our superior guest service. Patrick's Bar Vin is where all of the locals go, as it's the best bar in the French Quarter. Patrick's Bar Vin is known for it's outstanding "adult beverages", especially wines and their very high levels of service.

We hope to see you again very soon in New Orleans and at Hotel Mazarin.

We have nothing negative to say about this hotel and our experience there... Hotel Mazarin was stunning. The interior courtyard is breathtaking. Breakfast was very filling (eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, assorted pastries & breads, fruit, yogurt, and juice/coffee). The location is ideal, just a mere 40 feet from Bourbon Street and all the action, but quiet enough not to hear any of it at night! Easy enough to explore, head back and take a quick siesta, and then back out for more fun! The bed was incredibly comfortable and plush, the bathroom marble gorgeous.

The one thing I wish we had known was that at their 'sister property' there is a pool for customers to use, so make sure to pack that suit!

Hotel Mazarin has a promising future ahead of them in the French Quarter! We will definitely be back and staying here!

Just stayed here for French Quarter Fest and was pleased with our room, except wished we had a little more storage space for clothing, other than that we really liked our stay. Breakfast was nice more than simply bread and coffee, eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, tea and coffee, the staff at breakfast were great. Wish the price was a little less, but during a festival it was just about the same as other hotels in the quarter of the same quality.
