The Windsor Court hotel is fantastic from arrival to departure. All staff is incredibly friendly, goes out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. The rooms are incredibly appointed and extremely large. All in all it was incredible. I was in for business and was able to accomplish all my tasks and turn my trip to pleasure in this wonderful hotel!

Stayed for four nights, very disappointed for the price and so called reputation. The one positive was that the room was large and very nice. Now for the not so goods. This hotel charges and markets itself as a luxurious property, and in terms of service it is anything but. One of the first things you read in amenities and services is nightly turndown , we were missed three of four nights even after bringing it to their attention. The first room we were booked in was on the 17th floor with river view, unfortunately the glass in french doors was so scarred that you actually could not see view. If you wanted to go outside on balcony to see the view you had to stand as there was absolutely no patio furniture. There was something spilled on the floor in our suite when we got there, and was still there four days later. In all of our coming and goings not once were we greeted by concierge (busy texting) or doorman. Ran out of toilet paper and no extra rolls. These might seem trivial but added up together show a disregard for guests, and some serious staffing issues. This might be a nice hotel, but by no means is there value here. Way overpriced, and totally lacking vibe in lobby lounge etc. Do yourself a favour and don't pay for that luxury hotel experience because it is not here.

The Windsor is a classically elegant hotel in the CBD of New Orleans. Just across from Harrah's, walking distance to the Riverwalk Shopping Center and the French Quarter. I have stayed in both the regular and junior suites and both are spacious and beautifully maintained.

Spent a week in the Junior Suite, the living room has a decent-sized desk with adequate plugs and ports, sitting area, and a small round table for working.

Extremely professional staff. If you get shorted on turn-down service, make sure to call to request the homemade praline candies. Perfect for a midnight snack.

A recent week stay at the Windsor brought back memories of stays in a grand hotel of the 60s, but with the most modern of architecture & decoration. Located just across Canal street from the French Quarter, it was convenient & perfectly located for a multitude of New Orleans views & venues. The view of Algiers Point was just breathtaking. The French Quarter was only a 5 minute stroll away. It has an understated elegance with authentic British memorabilia everywhere. The original architect's model of Windsor castle adorns the main lobby. The secret is the Room at the Top (my term). Here, you can rest in an understated luxury that allows one to plan the day, rest after a long day of tourism (yes, New Orleans IS crazy), or to just have a light snack. The attention given to all is, again, difficult to quantitate. Hotel personnel are everywhere when you need them, but not obvious when you don't. They couldn't have helped us more to see the important N.O. sites & restaurants that could easily be overlooked. One of the world's greatest entertainers was just down the hall, but unless one had been told, no one would have known. Met several actresses while planning my day at the top. And yet, hotel personnel acted as if I was just as important as American "Royalty." The rooms were maintained spotlessly, copious, and QUIET. My wife & I both regretted our departure & yet looked forward to our return. The cost of our room was less than many other hotels of lessor stature. We have stayed on business in most of the other top hotels in the area, but the Windsor is better located, more comfortable, & ostentatiously subtle in it's excellent care of all of it's guests. Exudes understated luxury, peace, quietness, & privacy for the everyday person. Celebrating a romantic wedding anniversary & want something special? Give The Windsor Court a try. You'll love it.

Room Tip: There is no bad room. Views from all. Like all hotels, the higher the better. The night view of t...

Nice hotel just steps away from the activity. Suites are large and have a separate vanity off bathroom. However the chair is too low to use the vanity mirror. Bedding is comfortable and bath amenities are first rate. Suites have 2 AC/heating systems and are tricky to adjust. Staff is very helpful.

I stayed at Windsor Court Hotel for just one night for business. Since I spent less than 24 hours at the hotel, my review is not complete, but I can see why this hotel is highly rated. It's pricy, naturally, and I cannot compare with other hotels nearby, but if the price is reasonable, I would think about staying here next time I visit NO on vacation.

Pros:
(1) Elegant interior. Especially the lobby area and the bar on the 2nd floor.
(2) Spacious room. It's a bit too large for staying for business by myself! It was very clean, too.
(3) Quiet. But not very far from the fun part of town (French Quarter). 5 min walk to the edge of the quarter.
(4) The restaurant where we had breakfast was wonderful. Very elegant dining room, and good breakfast.
(5) Nice staff. It's South!

Cons:
(1) Mmm... Probably unfair to call it a negative, but we were in a hurry to finish the breakfast, but the waiter did not understand the notion of hurrying up. I guess this is not a place to hurry up...
(2) (Free) wifi was slow...
(3) My room did not have a good view. Facing Harrah's casino.
(4) (Probably) pricy.

All in all, a great place to spend your holiday I think, especially if you like more classical elegant hotel than a modern and (boringly) efficient one.
