“Beautiful hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2014

My girlfriend and I stayed at this location for four days. We both had an excellent time and enjoyed the area. The hotel had very classic styling with rooms that were small but very nice accoutrements. The staff was excellent and Troy, at the front desk, was very friendly and helpful to us in setting up tours, food and nightlife locations.

This hotel really was nothing special. The rooms were very small, on one side of the bed we couldn't even get out of the bed. The lobby was nice and the staff was friendly. The one thing that was really bugging me was the music that kept playing in the halls loud enough to hear from your room. The room was clean.

Adorable -- Just off Canal Street, right by the streetcar lines, close to everywhere we wanted to go, still super safe, very quiet. Our room had plenty of space and very high ceilings with a ton of charm. The staff was always friendly and helpful (especially Troy and tall guy), and ready to help tourists find the best places in town. Also, if you get a chance, grab breakfast at The Ruby Slipper downstairs -- it's fantastic (eggs blackstone). This hotel was just what we wanted.

Room Tip: They do have windowless rooms, which is odd to me. We did not get one, but I'd ask for a window...

An authentic original hotel. 15ft ceilings In room, huge windows, you have your own thermostat! Got room down to 65 degrees mid July! Fantastic location close to harrahs. So much better than a large generic chain hotel. This will be our hotel every time we visit. Walking distance to Mothers diner

stayed at the Pelham hotel Monday night for my birthday. the hotel was very clean, a little old, but found everything good for the price. Not much on frills, no desk or place to put things in the interior room, but made do. I would stay here again. Coffee pot in lobby, but not in room. Went to WW2 museum and loved it. Went to Harrah's just a couple of blocks away.

Room Tip: would get a room with a view if I would be staying more than one night.
