We loved our stay at the Inn on St Peter. It was a gorgeous inn in the French Quarter a few blocks from Bourbon. The room was perfect and beautiful! The bed was so comfortable! A classic little gem!! We would definitely stay here again!!

Inn on St. Peter is exactly what we were looking for in New Orleans. We stayed in a 1 bedroom king suite for 5 days. It was like having an apartment in the heart of the French Quarter.

This hotel is not a luxury hotel. No pool,no restaurant, and no room service. What it does offer you is a charming retreat in a magical city. Clean and spacious, this hotel is non pretentious and the people who work there are very helpful and make you feel like family.

It is very close to everything you want to see and do. Bourbon St. is 2 short blocks away. There are 2 local shops within 2-3 blocks where you can pick up snacks, drinks, and prepared foods. Jackson Square and Cafe Du Monde were so close that we ate in that area everyday of our stay.

Don't be deterred by the missing amenities. Rather, come here and see for youself how staying in a place that treats you like family will make you feel like you are home.

This is a cosy little hotel, very close to Bourbon Street and walking distance to St Louis Cathedral.

Good Points:
-Great character.
-Good location
-Helpful staff
-Lovely shared balcony area outside rooms and nice courtyard downstairs!

Bad Points:
-Small rooms without fridge or other amenities.
-No air con (but not expected!)

Would recommend Inn on St Peter to friends most definitely!

We stayed in the one bedroom, two queen suite and enjoyed our room. It was nice to have the extra space and we were amazed at how quiet it was, just a couple blocks off of Bourbon Street. The location was ideal for walking around the French Quarter or catching the street car to the Garden District. I had read about noise issues and can see that it could be a problem. We could easily hear conversations from those passing by outside the living room window, but it wasn't a problem for us, since we didn't use the living room to sleep.

Stayed here for 4 days on a girls getaway and we were very happy with the Inn on St. Peter! We arrived to a very nice and warm checkin. Our 2 bedroom suite was not ready but they were more than happy to keep our luggage as we had our first look at Bourbon St. The suite was beautiful, with more than enough room for 5 girls. The windows opened up to a shared balcony with tables and chairs and it was a great spot for drinks and people watching. The Inn is close to Bourbon St, about 4 blocks away. It was easy enough to walk to Bourbon St and all the restaurants we wanted to try. Across the street there was a gay bar with drinks specials and it was nice to be able to run to our room whenever we wanted. We were also able to use their sister property, Lamothe House for their pool. It was about 15 min away walking, but we really loved spending some time in the sun and pool in the mornings. Overall we loved our stay and also the price! Just one tip, they don't have any valets to help with your luggage, so if you are staying on the top floors, you will have to carry your bags up a long set of flights.

It sounds like our prime location, helpful staff and spacious two-bedroom suite were exactly what your group was looking for! A large group of friends stayed at the hotel for the Red Dress Run the weekend of August 10, 2013. It was a great hotel with a little courtyard and nice balconies for hanging out and drinking. It was about mid way between Armstrong Park and Bourbon so the location was great. (No portapotties or stinky bar bathrooms for us!) We didn't know until we got there that none of the rooms (that we saw) have windows other than the one's in the door to the balcony. We thought this would make the room quite dark but it had the opposite effect and a fair amount of light came through...even when we didn't want it. We had a king bed and were glad we "upgraded" because the queen rooms were just about big enough for the bed and that's it.

The staff were great! Super friendly and accommodating. They didn't care at all when we camped out in the courtyard for over an hour drinking and listening to music.

The biggest "complaint" we had was the noise. We could hear EVERY street cleaner and motorcycle, boozer and dump truck that came down the street. It was pretty disruptive when you really need some sleep. Can't complain too much about it though considering where we were. The rates were EXTREMELY reasonable and I felt we got good value for money. We probably won't be returning to the hotel because of the noise but I would still recommend it.

Other reviewers have mentioned this but I want to stress the parking situation. We parked and didn't go back to the cars until it was time to leave. I didn't do it but I heard it was a bit of a hike...even if it was only six blocks.

Room Tip: Rooms 4, 5 and 6 (I think) are on an indoor cooridor around the corner (on Burgundy) from the main e...

We appreciate the feedback in regards to your recent stay with us over Red Dress Run weekend.
We are pleased you found our location to be so convenient, our staff to be so friendly and accommodating, as well as our rates to be so reasonable. As we are located in the heart of the French Quarter, unfortunately, there can be some street noise that lighter sleepers may find disruptive, while others (per their reviews) find it not to be an issue. You may want to check out one of our sister properties, such as the Lamothe House and Inn on Ursulines that are located a little further out from all of the action, which could provide a quieter stay upon your return to New Orleans!

I booked this Inn for a girl's weekend trip and couldn't have been happier. We got one of the suites and were surprised as to how spacious and clean it was. The beds were comfy, the bathroom was beautiful, and the location was perfect. We were on the bottom floor facing the streets and didn't encounter much noise outside of what is to be expected somewhere like New Orleans. Their parking lot was full upon arrival, so we parked a few blocks out for $17/night on N.Rampart, we didn't feel bad about it. The staff was super friendly and easy to talk to, they made the Inn feel very personal and welcoming, which is what makes this place so great to stay in in my opinion. The soaps/shampoos were Aveda, they had a nice little Kurig for morning coffee, and a well sized fridge to store much needed water/fresh snacks. I personally loved staying there, so much so that I'm returning for Labor Day weekend and booked at one of their other French Quarter location (had great military discount that couldn't be passed up). Speaking of prices, the rates are an overall amazing deal for what you're getting if you ask me, it comes highly recommended.

Room Tip: We stayed at the ground floor facing the streets, but took a little visit to the upstairs area that...
