My husband, best friend, and I chose the Inn on St. Peter's was mainly use to location in the French Quarters. The reviews and pictures were decent online. I prefer hotels with some character and age on them also.
When we arrived I was pleasantly surprised on how updated and spacious the suite was, 2queen size bed in a separate room with a pull out sofa, table and chairs, and plenty of storage room. We did notice brown splatter marks in the bathtub, they were easily washed out, but future possibilities of a hot bubble bath was definitely out of the question.
Check in was easy enough, parking a huge hassle and expensive. Parking was 3 blocks down (shady party of town) and $75 for 3days, uncovered lot also. The second night we came back to the lot rather late only to find it was already full, having already paid we made a parking space.
The front desk help the second day turned into a very rude gentlemen. We had come back from a full day of activities to find the cleaning personnel had not taken any of the garbage out, left only 2 towels for 4 adults, and no toilet paper. We walked back to the front desk. The front door was locked with a doorbell to ring. Despite looking through the glass door directly at the gentleman for 5 minutes straight, while ringing the bell, watching him continue to talk and laugh on the phone, he eventually buzzed us in. We told him of our need for some clean towels, washcloths, and toilet paper. He was very irritated that he had to get out of his chair, after thanking him for his effort, he very sarcastically added "is here anything else you may think you need" having worked with the public for several years, I understand the need for traits of politeness, patience, sincerity, and professional etiquette. Obviously, this man was lacking all the above. The next day we pulled the ONLY wastebasket in the whole suite in the middle of the living room floor filled with trash, in hope of it being seen and emptied. We came back to find it remaining in the living room, half full of trash. After our experience with the front desk the prior evening we just kept our thoughts to ourselves, placing our trash in grocery bags.
There is a strong potential for this lovely Inn to provide an excellent experience or future guests, if only management could monitor a few of the details that make customers feel wanted and appreciated. I realize parking is expensive and a commodity n a busy own town area, but we are travelers from many bigger cities with more adequate parking arrangements, providing reasonable rate arrangements with hotels and safer environments.
No elevators and no staff to help with bags, so if you are assigned a second floor room, consider ma...

We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your guest room and the updated amenities of the Inn on St Peter. As our properties are newly renovated, we have maintained the original charm while still being able to add all the modern amenities one would expect from a larger chain hotel.
As parking is at a minimum in the French Quarter, we apologize for the inconvenience of not being able to offer onsite parking. However, our sister property, the Lamothe House Hotel offers a private gated lot with 24 hours surveillance to use. The daily rate is comparable if not less than the surrounding lots.
We apologize for the issues you had regarding your experience with our desk agent on your second day. As you will see from previous reviews, we pride ourselves on our great customer service and are extremely disappointed that the agent was not able to live up to our expectations. We appreciate the feedback and are addressing this with the agent directly. We are also disappointed to hear about your housekeeper during your stay with us. There is no excuse for their inability to properly dispose of your trash as it one (of many) items on their daily room housekeeping list.
Again, we appreciate you sharing your experience with us and hope you would think of us for any future stay in New Orleans.
