“Nice location but just ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Well located in The Quarter. The rooms are nice but the hotel is somewhat dated. Not great for a conference. The elevators are terribly slow and inefficient. The sound system for the large conference rooms is as bad as it gets. The workout room is spacious w lots of weights, machines and cardio.

This hotel was beautiful. It was in the perfect location to walk anywhere. 2 blocks from Bourbon and 2 blocks from the Outlet Mall and Canal Shops.
Parking is $44 a day! This was my only complaint. Had I known in advance, I would have looked for alternatives. Street parking is not an option after 8 am.

We were on the 39th floor and didn't have a problem with any noise.
Also, if it's raining, you can checkout an umbrella in the lobby. Very convenient!

Spg guest and we were greeted with a suite upgrade! Very pleased! Great room and walking distance to everything. Very polite and well informed staff were there to answer any questions we had about the area and amenities, as well as provide great suggestions. Great views and a quiet hotel, we thought.
My honey and I really enjoyed our stay!

Green Features: Rewards for each night we did not get our room cleaned, as well as the recycle bin in our room are great starts to being environmentally friendly!

I have found that Sheraton's vary quite a bit in quality, but this one has clearly been renovated recently. Rooms were new. Very nice work out room. Located right next to the French Quarter. I was on a high floor so no noise to speak of. Water pressure in the shower could be a bit better. Easy to walk to most of the tourist sites in the area.

Probably because it was Mardi Gras. But also because it was Mardi Gras let's just say I was in a hurry to hit the town. Also, the rooms have no mini bar, which I thought was odd for a hotel in the French Quarter. On the plus side, the views of NOLA are pretty great, and the building has those South America-style elevators that you work by entering the floor number before getting on, so you'll have some fun watching Americans struggle to figure them out.

Some friends and I stayed here for during the Essence Music Festival during the first week in July. The hotel was very busy but still maintained a level of professionalism that you would expect from the Sheraton. Our rooms were on the 32nd floor with great river views. The first day we had an issue with the water being off temporarily due to construction but that didnt last long and it was pretty much smooth sailing for the duration of our weekend trip. The rooms were clean and room service was great. The elevators were a bit confusing with the room floor buttons being on the outside of the elevator but you would get the hang of it.

Just like other reviewers report, the location of the Sheraton was great. Its not too far from the action but when you're ready for that peacefulness you will get it at this hotel. We had no problems sleeping with so much activities going on that weekend. I would definitely stay at the Sheraton again

The room was two double beds, with adequate storage for clothes and suitcases. Small desk, with chairs. The bed was the excellent Sheraton quality mattress, pillows and coverings that always yield a good night's sleep. The room and bath was clean and kept that way with good housekeeping service.

View from the 30th floor was great, and we all enjoyed that. We found the room to be quiet, with no street noise.

Great breakfast available at the second floor restaurant.

However, Sheraton did not earn Four Stars in my view. They lose a point due to:

Negatives-
1. They do not have roll away beds. A separate bed for the kids would make quieter nights for all, as no fighting is ensured.
2. Shorted one towel one day.
3. Not set up for a serious traveler. When I wanted to print out my boarding passes, the Travel Desk sent me to the Business Center on the Third Floor. I wandered around there until a hotel employee noted that the Center was moved, he thought, to the 4th Floor. Yep, not there either. Returned to Lobby, checked the directory, and the Business Center is listed on the 3rd floor. Checked front desk and they noted that there is no Business Center, and to use the FedEx office which is equipped with computers and printers. Yes, that worked, but it cost $5.61 to rent computers at 44 cents per minute plus printing costs to generate my boarding pass. Quite an unnecessary hassle at Sheraton for something that is FREE and FAST at other major hotels.
4. No FREE WIFI. For the prices and endless business meetings going on in the hotel, free wifi should be available, as with other large hotels and chains.

Room Tip: Higher the better!

Hi PhilViking,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us as it helps us better prepare for future guests. We truly value your feedback and apologize immensely for the hassle and miscommunication. You're absolutely right. Our business center is no longer on the third floor and has been replaced by FedEx located on our first floor. While FedEx is available for business needs, we also have the Link@Sheraton (located in the lobby) available to all of our guests at no extra charge. It is accessible 24 hours, has printing capabilities, computers, and ethernet hook ups to use at your leisure. Again, we are so sorry this wasn't communicated better and will use this as a coaching opportunity across all of our teams. We thank you and hope that we can welcome you again the next time you're in the Big Easy.
