“Nice hotel, but service was lacking”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We went here for a weekend on a hotwire deal. We were unaware until we arrived that they charge a very large amount for a parking fee/valet, which we were ok with because they said it was in safe parking. The front desk staff was friendly and got us our room, which seemed nice, but then we started to find the sheets weren't clean, and paper thin walls where we could hear loud neighbors. We called the front desk and asked it to be fixed while we went out. Location was great, near a lot there. When we got back after our day exhausted, the sheets were not changed as they said they were, and the neighbors were still making very loud noises, which continued most of the night. We contacted the front desk again and no fix. We eventually passed out from exhaustion. The next day we went to check out, and our car was brought out. There was yellow 'gunk' all over our car and chips in the hood that weren't there before. We asked the valet staff what happened and just got a hand out for a tip. We went in to ask about our issue as we needed to leave, and they said we would have to just contact them later and they gave us info for contact, which we also left our information. We called several times after our trip, but never heard back. Clean facilities, but we WILL NOT be staying here again, electing to go somewhere else, there are way too many other better choices available in the area.

Came here for a friends wedding and the whole party stayed at this hotel. They gave a group discount, I think it was $110 a night.

Room was perfect. Huge windows (floor to ceiling) with a great view of the Mighty Mississipp.

They gave us $5 a day as long as we didn't have our room cleaned. Get a free drink and don't be bothered in the early morning by housekeeping. Perfect.

Location was perfect. Coffee shop to your left, casino to your right. Near the river, near Bourbon Street, and 20 cabs stationed out front at all times.

It's a good hotel for everything. Work, party, vacation.

I was nearby in Mississippi for work and extended the time with a weekend in NO. My better half flew in and we had a great weekend in the City. Nikki H. in the Hotel's Guest Services was super excellent in helping plan our weekend. A big thank you to Nikki, she went well beyond my expectations. We were very impressed with the staff and their friendly help. Understanding we are in New Orleans, on a weekend, there were a few rooms on the floor that were occupied by late night drinkers arriving home. Not sure how to address that other than to suggest New Orleans is not where you should be going if you want a quiet weekend retreat.

Perfectly placed for sights this was a great place to come back to for a breather! Good central sports bar with good food, the Starbucks was good if you missed mornings when people were turning up for training courses etc.
This hotel would be 1st choice if going back to the BE.

Room Tip: We were a touring group spread all over the hotel and I heard no complaints.

Green Features: Usual towels and sheets policy, I wasn't aware of any other initiatives.

In town for a week long conference so I had some time to get to know the place. Location is great being across the street from the french quarter will sell the rooms alone and the gym was large and useful. Interesting note regarding the treadmills in that they face a bank of windows that is at ground level with the pool. Coincidental peep show? I doubt it so be mindful of where and how you sunbath. The bed was awesome!! 5 fins for that alone and the view from the 23rd floor was great. The air conditioning needs reworking. All the cold air is left on the 8th floor. The thermostat read 65 but phone app said it was 73. The fan would reset itself on a timer and would shut off completely until you hit the bottom temp button and it would then fire back up. The bathroom was very roomy but the hot water pressure was just a trickle. The tub/shower area was also roomy but the water ran 24/7. The party central theme certainly carried through the walls/hallways. Not only the laughing and yelling to ease one into a nice relaxing sleep but the live saxophone from 3 doors down at 2:30 AM really made the trip. The WiFi was also $12.50/day. I refused to pay it so I burned through a month of allotted access being away from home for so long. Do you think the Sheraton business model takes this into consideration? Of course they do. Finally, there was the mysterious tissue paper wedged between the picture frames on the wall. Surely the cleaning staff would notice after 5 days....NOPE! I would stay here again if someone else was paying but if I have to come off some dough, there are other, better options available.

Room Tip: The higher the better. The east view is of the river/the west of downtown.

We had a wedding in NOLA and used this hotel for guests and bridal party members. The reservationist messed things up so badly that we ended up having to pay much more than we were supposed to and, to top it all off, one of the rooms had about 5" of sewage backed up in the bathtub. The staff was incompetent and rude. Go somewhere else.

This hotel supposedly just spent a lot of money on renovations, and while nice enough. Apparently they ran out of money before they got to soundproofing the rooms. You can hear people walk down the hall. Not talking, just walking down the halls. And apparently they also saved a lot of money recycling old bank vault doors on the rooms. They are plenty heavy and secure, but every time any door yo a room is closed anywhere on your floor is closed it sounds like a metal garbage can hitting the pavement after being pushed out a third floor window. So if you plan to sleep in past 6:30 am after a night in the Quarter, or take a little afternoon snooze to rest up before going out for a night in the Quarter, forget about it. This is not the hotel for you. Unless the sound of constant door slamming every two minutes puts you to sleep. I'll never be back. The Marriott right across the street has much quieter rooms and I've never had a problem.....signed Sleepless in New Orleans.
