Stayed here for four days late November to early December. Yes, the hotel is undergoing renovation but it did not bother us noise wise. We had a renovated room on the 45th floor with a nice view of the river. Room was nothing special but fit our needs. We paid about $120 a night. Hotel conveniently located. No real restaurant facilities but Red Gravy is right out the side door on Camp St. and good for breakfast. Plus, so many great restaurants in NOLA who wants to eat in the hotel. All in all would stay here again. Found staff to be very accommodating. Think when the renovation is completed it will be even better.

Great hotel, staff friendly and courteous, clean n run smoothly as we could see from there near record booking they had over weekend with state rival football game on Saturday n saints game on Sunday. Over the top security, elevators have got to be seen...pretty cool. Great location, we stayed upper floors that were already remodled, river view,beautiful sunrises,

The Sheraton on Canal is undergoing renovations, with some floors finished and others not started. The non-starters are adequate and only a bit worn, but signs of needed refurbishments are obvious. Space is a little tight between the desk and the bed - I had to squeeze through, and I'm not a large man. The bathroom was in good shape, with generic shampoo, conditioner, and lotion available. Security is problematic - all that's required to reach any floor is to press the buttons outside the elevator (no pass key required). I was able to get off on a number of floors during the day, and no staff were visible. Restaurants are nearby in the French Quarter and surrounding area, and drugstores are also nearby. Parking is expensive. Staff are considerate and friendly. As a 'green' hotel, the Sheraton allows guests to forego daily room service, as long as the guest hangs a small card on the doorknob before 2am each night. If you're searching for an adequate stay of a few nights, the Sheraton on Canal is worth a visit.

Although overall, I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, the parking is getting out of control. The last time I stayed her the parking was $30.00 + tax. That was bad enough. But now it is $38.00 (That's $43 with tax.)
Other than that, the stay was wonderful. The location was close the everything in the downtown area. The bed was very comfortable and the service was great.
