checked in and went to our room on the top floor. the room was an oven and the a/c didnt work. went to the desk to see if we could switch rooms. the clerk gave me another room key to check another room. i got a room with a/c but no towel, toilet paper, shampoo or soap, the TV didn't work. there were not only stains in our bed but also hair. the whole room smelled like a urinal. i went back to the front desk to see about room amenities and was given my old room key to fetch my towel myself. the parking is in the back of the hotel and there is hardly any light. i asked if there was security and was told that there was only cameras. went we left the next morning there were used condoms surrounding our car in the parking lot....trust me you cant make this up. we picked this hotel because of the price (about 40 dollars) and dont feel we got what we paid for... it was that bad... also there is no phone in the rooms and only the bathroom light worked.

The place is disgusting!!! They had no air during summer! I asked to speak with the manager and he wouldn't come out. They kept saying that they were going to fix the air but the day went by and never did. I tried to leave at night because it was unbearable but they still charged me for that night plus another! While I laid down on the bed waiting for the people to fix the air I found bed bugs! The bathroom was falling apart! People at front desk were not helpful and very defensive!

positive: sheets were clean, everything else was horrible. very unsafe hotel. no phone, no curtain, no chair. there were bugs in the bathroom. also everytime we took a shower the drain would clog and the tub would fill up. only had 1 lock for door and is not enough in this kind of hotel. air conditioner was very outdated in order for it to work on to leave on high at 55 degrees.
do not leave a nice car here. make sure to always leave/enter in a group.
of course no breakfast was served, no wake up calls.
if you have an option do not stay here.

When i read the recent reviews of this hotel i was scared of staying there,but it was essence fest weekend an fest an all of the other hotels were to high r to far an i was on a budget. when i got there i told the desk attented about the reviews i read on the internet he told me dont worry about them that he would fix me up. So he put me in a good spot with a view of tulane st. which i park my car on outside my window. now its not in walking distant of downtown u will have to drive r catch cab r the bus. the room was way better than i thought they had just change the carpet an it looked like new sheets an ect but the bathroom was small as a closet but it was ok . IT WAS BETTER THAN I THOUGHT.
