“Capture the Flavor of the Quarter - Stay at the Omni Royal Orleans”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

For an experience that captures the true flavor of New Orleans and the French Quarter, stay at the Royal Orleans Hotel in the heart of the French Quarter. Don't miss the dining experience at the Rid Room and make time in the afternoon to enjoy a beverage at the Rib Room Bar to people watch in the hotel.

Royal Orleans is such a great location that it is worth the price. The service and amenities are very good. The roof bar and pool are an added value. The hotel personnel are helpful and friendly. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. overall the hotel captures the charm of New Orleans.

The Omni Royal Orleans is 1-1/2 blocks off Bourbon Street in the heart of the French Quarter. It's the perfect location to take part in the action, yet get a restful night's sleep. I've stayed there the past two times I've been to New Orleans, and while there are a number of fine hotels in the area, the Omni Royal Orleans is my number one choice.

It's elegant enough to satisfy without being snooty. The rooftop swimming pool, workout room, and bar area is great for recharging your batteries while planning the next day's activities. The location allows you to walk to everyplace in the Quarter, and the bell staff, (especially Rico), are there to serve and assist you with your questions about the area or to help you arrange your day. Whether it's where to get a great Po'Boy in the Quarter, the best diner for breakfast, or to arrange a tour of the lower ninth ward, I have never been disappointed in their recommendations.

Going to NOLA for a long weekend? Don't settle for a lesser hotel. The place can be fun but crazy, so why not have a nice bed to sleep in? I highly recommend the Omni Royal Orleans.

Attended a conference in New Orleans for 3 days and 2 nights. Perfect location to enjoy the french quarter. Everything is close. Very nice staff and excellent service. Beautiful rooms that were very comfortable. Would stay here again.

Beautiful rooms, so small, so cute, so clean. The staff, amazing. Location, amazing. The restaurant, food coma! Oh my. I had brunch, and it was amazing. 5 short nights and I should have stayed longer.

I stayed here for five nights with my family and a group of friends in early September. It's in a great location, a short walk from Bourbon St and Jackson Square and right next to quaint shops on Royal St. The rooms were clean, staff were very helpful.
The service from the tour desk was exceptional, one evening when I returned to the hotel at 9.30pm and wanted to take the kids to the rooftop pool for a quick swim, the tour desk attendant met me by the pool to discuss our needs so that the kids didn't miss their swim and I could observe them and book our tools. Outstanding service! I loved the hotel, loved it's location away from the smell, noise and sleaze of Bourbon St, but close enough to participate. Great spot can't wait to come back

This marked our 3rd stay at this beautiful, historic property in the perfect French Quarter location. Due to a conference and the Monday Night football home game for the Saints the hotel was at 100% capacity during our stay. But that did not cause even a blip in the wonderful and gracious service we received from the staff.

In the past we have always stayed in a balcony room, which if available, I can highly recommend. However, they were all booked during this stay and we had a premiere King room which suited us just fine. These are not as large as what you would find in a typical, newer hotel but was completely adequate for us. The bathroom was especially small but outfitted nicely. This hotel was built during a different era and the size of the rooms reflects that. It feels very much like a European hotel and reminds me of a fine hotel in Paris.

The location can not be beat. The antique stores of Royal St are right out front and you are far enough away from the crazies on Bourbon St. to get a good nights rest, but close enough to join them if the mood strikes you. .

I recommend the nearby Johnny's po-boys right down a short walk on St. Louis for a great shrimp po-boy. Also, the historic Napoleon House Bar is nearby and a great place for a lunch or cocktail in a fabulous setting.

As others have mentioned be sure to join the Select Guest program if you are not already a member. Several perks, my favorites being the free wifi and the hot beverage and juice for 2 delivered to our room every morning. One morning we opted for the hot chocolate just for fun..it came in a pot alongside handcrafted marshmallows and whipped cream.

On the roof is a pool area with an observation deck that provides a beautiful panoramic view of the French Quarter. It is a great spot to take pictures.

Room Tip: Balcony rooms are worth the extra $$
