“Upscale hotel within walking distance from everything.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

I stayed at the Omni over the July 4th weekend for the Essence Festival and i must say I loved everything about this hotel. The lobby is beautifully decorated with antique pieces that give the hotel an old south charm without being outdated. My room was upgraded to a corner king room because i signed up for the Omni rewards program. I absolutely recommend signing up if you will be staying here. Rewards members receive extra perks:free wifi ($15 per day), complimentary coffee or beverage in the morning and newspaper. My room was tastefully decorated with that same old south charm that echoed throughout the hotel but with an updated feel. The bathroom has THE BIGGEST JACUZZI TUB i have ever seen! I was overly impressed the size of the bathroom-especially after reading several reviews to the contrary. Lastly, the rooftop pool is a must-weather permitting, although it was a tad disappointed by the size, its not a very large pool but it was fine for sunbathing and an occasional dip to cool off.

Room Tip: Sign up for the rewards program to earn extra perks

Or first night @ the Omni & all is EXCELLENT regarding the location, beauty, service, awesome pool deck, etc. The room we are in, however, is hot & stuffy. The thermostat does not reflect the true temperature and the temp does not change regardless of setting. HOT sleeping is NO sleeping : (. Hopefully, they can resolve the issue tomorrow...

We had a great time at this hotel, the staff are great, the location is superb and the rooms are clean and comfortable! This hotel is right in the centre of the French quarter so everything is very easy to get to..

Highly recommended!

Room Tip: The balcony rooms overlooking royal street are a must!

The property is soooo nice. After a long day in the French Quarter its nice to arrive to your bed turned down soft music playing and your candy treat. They delivered coffee or juice along with a newspaper every morning and would leave it out side your door if you so desired. The pool is on the roof top with a bar and food service all day how nice is that. Easy access from decator to bourbon and canel lots of good food around. Talk to the staff they can tell you about the local spots. I was celebrating my birthday and they had champagne in the room when we arrived awesome! We comfy footwear and enjoy.

Room Tip: There was a big festival going on so we booked early it was over the July 4th used hotel.com

From the minute we were dropped off by our car at the hotel until we were picked up for our return to the airport 4 days later, we were treated as though we were the #1 guests in the hotel. Leroy was always there to greet us at the door, Ryan was there to ask us what we did and further ideas of where to go, and the front desk was welcoming. We got to the hotel in the AM and our room was ready at Noon. Exceptional service. The balcony room on the 5th floor over Royal St was a great place to relax with a drink and to people watch. The room itself was nice sized. The bathroom was a tad on the small side and needed better lighting, but the shower pressure was strong. THE best part of the hotel was the location. It was right in the heart of the French Quarter but remote from the noisy crowds. This is now our go to hotel in New Orleans for our future visits.
