We recently stayed in the Omni for four nights during the week. Everything about the hotel was first rate. We had a king size room on the sixth floor within nice view of the Quarter. The bed was very comfortable. Service was excellent from the bellman to the garage attendant to the maid service. When we went out for the day, we returned to a room that was freshly made, unlike some other places where you would return to a room that no one had touched. Perhaps the most enjoyable aspect of the hotel is the roof where there is a lovely pool, a fitness center and some very nice views of the river. We took advantage of the roof by having a wine, cheese and fruit dinner at twilight, which was a good deal more pleasant, and considerably less expensive, than an evening out on the town. There is a great grocery store two blocks down Royal Street where you can all the staples you need. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to New Orleans.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on an upper floor. There is less noise as well as a good view.

Stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed this "home" in the French Quarter. Far enough from Bourbon St. to avoid the noise and crowds but very convenient to wander the quarter , mostly in the daytime, visit Jackson Square, hear great music, shop, and dine. The lobby is small but there is a nook with Starbucks from very early in the morning, newspapers and fruit and water available. Very pleased with the polite and quick service offered by all staff in this hotel ,from doormen to coffee shop ladies to front desk and housekeeping. Don't miss the rooftop views and workout room. Beautiful pool, but too chilly when we were there. Great views of the river and Jackson Square. We had a late flight out on last day and were able to keep one room until 6 pm by paying 1/2 room rate . We were 3 couples reuniting in NOLA and two took larger rooms with balconies. We had an accessible room which was also larger . I understand some rooms are smaller but we were very happy. One couple noted a lot of noise from trash collectors one morning.Very reasonable rates for accommodations . No issues with cleanliness. Would recommend.

Room Tip: Liked our St. Louis street view across from Courthouse and it was quieter. Could see the river over...

From the front door and bell men, especially Leroy, you begin to feel special! The rooms are very comfortable with the best beds for a good night sleep. The staff throughout the hotel go out of their way to help you. We ate lunch and dinner in the hotel and both were exceptional. Looking forward to going back again!

this hotel is centrally located in the French quarter on royal st, one block off bourbon and close to everything. Many restaurants are within walking distance such as Brennan, kpauls, gallitiores, antiones, arnauds, etc. we had a St, Loius st balcony. I have read complaints about the room being small but it was fine. You are in the French quarter, space is limited. Bed was very comfortable. Staff were helpful. Touché bar was great.

The hotel is within walking distance to so many key sites, wonderful restaurants, the French Market, and public streetcar stops.
Re: the hotel itself, I really liked that while it provided all the amenities/features one would expect from a high-end hotel chain, its decor, architecture, and staff faithfully exhibited NOLA's charm. Unlike some of the other hotel chain hotels in the city, it didn't scream "corporate".

My wife and I stayed here the last time we were in New Orleans and they were definitely our choice for this 4 day visit. From the warm greetings from all the bell staff to the front desk, you feel genuinely welcomed. The king bed room had a great view and the bed was perfect. Newly remodeled from top to bottom with beautiful features and furniture. Flat screen TV, plenty of "now-needed" plugs for all the toys and phones we all carry. Fabulous views from the 7th floor with a room to exercise in if you want. We'll be back here hopefully very soon.
