“Excellent stay, great balcony view, well worth it !!!”

From the first phone call, it was obvious the Omni Royal was first rate. The reservation process was simple and personalized. The time the reservationist spent making sure we got the exact room, amenities, and view we wanted, was nothing short of amazing. We received personalized attention from the concierge even prior to our trip via email AND phone calls. We requested a balcony and they suggested the best view for us. (It was EXACTLY what we wanted). Upon arrival, we were greeted by Marty and Ricco. They were the BEST. Made sure we were set with everything we needed, even suggesting and arranging a small refrigerator brought to our room which was perfect for us. They gave us scoop on where to go and who to see when we got there. They treated us better than celebrities.. they treated us like friends. The room was very nice. King bed was very comfortable, great pillows and bedding. Very clean all around. Being there you couldn't help but feel like royalty. The view from #208, (Royal Street) was fabulous! The street musicians played every day and the street was blocked to only foot traffic most of the time. The entire staff and everyone in passing was extremely nice, very helpful and friendly. It was probably the best overall start to finish hotel/staff experience we've ever had. We traveled mid-week (Tues-Fri) at the end of February 2013 for business with added personal days. We would definitely return and recommend others to stay at the Omni Royal New Orleans.

I was in New Orleans for a conference. This was my first visit. From the moment I set foot in the Omni Royal Orleans, I felt like royalty. The service was top notch and outstanding. It is located in a great location with all the action. Once inside the hotel you are oblivious to the goings on outside. I absolutely loved it. WELL DONE Omni!

Stayed here at the tail end of our honeymoon (cruise) - wanted to get a couple of days in NOLA and found a good deal through the hotel's web site. Rooms are a bit small but functional. The hotel staff was very friendly, and they have what seems to be an excellent steak house. The layout of the lobby is a bit odd - when walking in the front door you have to go up a staircase with your bags to get to the main level. Honestly, because of this they should have a dedicated doorman. It seems as if their bellhops double as doormen, and when they're busy, they are not around to help you take your bags up the stairs. This is just a minor inconvenience, however. They have a 24-hour convenience shop ,which is nice if you need something. The rooftop pool/gym/observation deck all were outstanding. The property is a short walk to Decatur St. and to Burboun St, so it is in a great location overall. We stayed in a "Premium Room", and it was just fine. The bed was very comfortable, and the tv worked great. Stay away from the Mini-bar. If you sign up for their rewards program ahead of time, you'll get to use their Wi-Fi for free instead of $10 per day.

Room Tip: If you want to be close to the pool, try to stay on the 7th floor - the guest rooms are segregated f...

My first visit in 2011 was a sleepless one due to the hard beds. My return trip in Dec 2012 was much better. After I had complained about the beds, the hotel comped a free night so we returned for the R&L Carrier bowl and although the room was late being ready, the hotel staff gave us a free bottle of champagne for our wait. The beds have been renewed and we really enjoyed our stay. 2 blocks from Bourbon street and the quiet location makes this hotel the best! The Rib Room in the lobby area has amazing staff and the food is awesome!

Room Tip: The balcony rooms are a great way to people watch!

My husband and I stayed at the Omni for six nights and loved it. The hotel is in the heart of the French Quarter, steps from shopping, sightseeing, amazing restaurants, and public transportation. Our room was on the second floor and had a balcony which was fantastic. I loved coming back to the room in the late afternoon, opening the double doors, sitting outside and listening to the street musicians below. We even had a TV crew film a scene for The Vampire Diaries right under our balcony!

The room was nicely appointed and clean, the bed was very comfortable. The bath was small but adequate and the shower was very powerful which was a treat (so many hotels have such weak water pressure).

There is a small but nice fitness room on the top floor that I used a few times. It was very clean and had several treadmills and ellipticals, plus machines as well as free weights. The pool on the roof is open to the air and heated. Had I known I would have brought a swimsuit! There is a rooftop bar that was not open during our stay, sadly. I was told that it opens "seasonally". The pool area is a really added plus for the hotel.

If you sign up online, for free, you automatically get Gold membership which is worth it for the free morning coffee delivery to the room. My only criticism of the hotel is that they could throw in a free breakfast of some kind, for the price we paid. We found a fantastic diner just two blocks away called Camellia Grill. Definitely give it a try.

Room Tip: I really enjoyed the balcony and think it was well worth the added cost.

Stayed here during a convention. Great location - walking distance to Bourbon street, the Cathedral, Jackson square and many great eateries and shopping. Love the architecture. Hotel room and bathroon were small but nicely appointed and very comfy and very clean. Had a nice view of the courtyard on the second floor and the cathedral in the background. Great rooftop Observatory and pool area. Staff were very accommodating, friendly and helpful at all times - made you feel like you were coming back home after a long day. The lobby is authentic and the hotel is just lovely overall.

Room Tip: Ask about square footage and courtyard views. :)

The service was great from the moment we entered until we left. All member of staff were very friendly. The room was lovely as was the rooftop pool. We didn't have breakfast or eat in the hotel. We had a car and were able to use valet parking. The location was great because we were in walking distance of everything so we could pop back to the hotel whenever we wanted a rest. We booked the smallest/cheapest room but it was still lovely and comfortable with a door opening up onto a terrace with tables and chairs. It is a lovely comfortable hotel and I would stay there again.
