Other than the housekeeper rudeness and unfriendliness everything else was perfect. The hotel was able to accomodate my needs for a one night stay. Valet and front desk and bellman were all very friendly and courteous. The room that opened to a ful balcony and courtyard was very nice and romantic. The in room dining was excellent. The food was delicious. Most of all the ladies that brought the food to the room were very courteous and friendly.

Although the location is excellent, the hotel is old and some rooms in need of attention. We had to move 3 times during a 4 night stay because of no heat, mold and a leaking ceiling. The staff was concerned and courteous but that was not reflected on our bill. We were given a token concession but would most likely not stay here again unless renovations were made.

I recently had a client book their Fall Board Meeting through ConferenceDirect at this hotel, and they not only got an incredible rate and terms, they had a very successful event and enjoyed themselves thoroughly. My experience with booking and contracting the hotel was very good as well. In my client's words: The hotel was great. Good service, good food. The meeting room was large and comfortable. They set the lunch in the courtyard. Everyone liked the accommodations. They gave my wife and I a gigantic suite with a wrap-around corner balcony... The President was also given a suite.

I would definitely recommend the hotel for other clients of yours. I think this type of hotel is much better for small meetings like our board meeting than the large conference-style hotels."

We recently stayed at the Maison DuPuy with on a group trip of 25 to New Orleans. I would rate this a 5 star hotel. Elegant, clean, comfortable. Excellent breakfast buffet although a bit expensive. However, the option of ordering off a menu was available and less expensive. Great outdoor courtyard and pool. Unfortunately they hold events/meetings in the courtyard and relaxing at the pool at times was not due to the noise of people in the courtyard. Bar and restaurant also 5 star. All staff were courteous, helpful, and catered to our needs. Rooms tastefully decorated, roomy and comfortable. Excellent location. Not on a busy, noisy street, but within a short walking distance from the action! I would recommend this hotel to anyone! We all had a great time.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony.

It's a great location, but otherwise is just one cut above a motel. No help with the luggage and the lobby is small and usually crowded. The rooms are adequate, but dull. The bistro is overpriced for the quality and the food catered the the business meals was not good at all. If you are a smoker, find another place to stay.

Good location in French Quarter. Quiet sleeping at night facing their courtyard. Very comfortable mattress. We had hoped the breakfast would be included in the room price as we had experienced on the rest of our trip. The breakfast price was $35 daily for two + tip. That adds up staying there for a week. The courtyard view from our room was very nice and fun to see the many receptions there. The concierge service was very helpful and appreciated.

Not very comfortable, poor coffee service in room, nothing special at all with the small amenities. Room set up not well designed, just bare minimum on everything. Even coffee in lobby ran out! Compared with the other two hotels we stayed at in New Orleans, this one was the least comfortable, least amenities.
