“Absolutely gorgeous hotel”

We loved this hotel. We went with another couple who suggested it because of a previous stay. The rooftop pool is magnificent. The breakfast is delicious and the location is great. The room was a bit small but this hotel is so charming it is worth being a bit cramped.
The decor is rich and plush. We've been to some beautiful hotels but this is definitely one of our favorites! They even offer a midnight snack buffet (but it gets crowded so get there a little early).

Le Pavillon, while a beautiful hotel with lots of charm, really has problems with it's staff and catering people, as well as their upper management. Our company booked a meeting to be held April 29th & 30th 2004. After sending our contract requirement to their catering director Gwen DeFraites, our meeting was accepted and booked. We had stated in our contract requirements that any deposits needed would be due two weeks before the event. Now, today, March 15th 2004, the hotel demanded all deposits or the event would be cancelled. After trying to speak with the catering director supervisor, we were basically told tough luck, and they cancelled our meeting there. This is after having advertised the meeting at this hotel and having people register there. This is costing our company large sums of money.Be careful with this hotel!

We go to New Orleans frequently for business and for pleasure. This was the first time that we had stayed at Le Pavillion. It was wonderful! The staff was personable and professional. The room was a little small, but if you are in New Orleans you are not in your room that much. I can definitely say that Le Pavillion will be our hotel of choice from now on.

This hotel posted a pre-Christmas special on the internet and we stayed there for 1 weekend night. We reserved the room on the internet and all confirmation went smoothly and professionally. When we arrived we were greeted by very polite and professional staff, and we are amazed by their luxurious decoration in the looby and throughout the building. We took a lot of pictures with their well-decorated Christmas trees and fireplaces. They provided wireless internet access, a very convenient feature for the guest. My wife particularly like the late night snack, which include milk, peanut butter bread, cookies, juice, etc. The location is near downtown. We could walk to French quarter no problem, around 15-20 minutes. Of course you might not want to walk during the night. Safer to take a cab, not too expensive. Room are not huge, but furniture are nice. Room size is about average. Swimming pool and exercise room on the roof, too bad it was too cold to swim when we were there. Their restaurant was luxury too and they have table side cooking. After we return, they even sent several thank you email to us.
We most appreciate the great service from the staff and they are very professional and helpful. It's a great stay. Thank you.

I really liked this hotel. Very plush and friendly staff. We stayed in the middle of Mardi Gras and they managed to operate very smoothly.
Massive TV in the room and the hot chocholate, milk, peanut butter and jam sandwhiches from 10-11pm in the lobby were a nice touch. Mini bar is expensive but i guess they always are. For $140 a night it was well worth the money.

This was our first trip to New Orleans and our stay at Le Pavillon made our trip memorable and perfect. The entire staff went out of their way to make us feel special. It was the most beautiful place I have ever stepped into. Our room was fantastic, the bed was incredible. The food was first class, as was the service. We will be going back to New Orleans and will definitely be staying at Le Pavillon again.

We loved this hotel. We stayed here in August 2002. The walk is a bit of a hike to the French Quarter but it is very quiet. Rooms are great, bathrooms beautiful with marble. We spent at least an hour every night downstairs in the bar where my husband smoked cigars that he had bought in all the cigars shops in town and the bartenders were very attentive to us and chit chatted with us. The breakfast buffet is the BEST buffet I have ever had and Pat the omlet maker makes the best omlets ever.
Nice service from Georgie in the dining room too. We loved this hotel and would definately stay here again. August is too hot though, so go when it is a bit cooler.
