“Really nice place, from another era”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2011

This is not your average hotel, but we loved our stay here. Don't let the "store front' scare you, it's a wonderful old historic hotel with a old time service attitude that you just don't find any more. It's historic, so not everything is Marriott corporate finish, but it's lovely and full of charm. Had breakfast, lunch and dinner here and enjoyed it all. It's a very cool place, with friendly helpful people....we'll be back!

Room Tip: We had the double on the street side, not noisy, kinda small but we didn't really care

OK so the hotel is beautiful, no doubt about it

And from the moment you walk in you are impressed by the giant chandeliers and old furniture, definately a throw back to the 19th century

The staff is super nice and very helpful and the hole PB&J snack time thing they do every night is pretty cool too

The rooms are small, but they are comfortable and nicely appointed. The bathrooms are tiny and cramped and the showers are set up very strange with no curtain and only a partial glass door so the floors always get soaked (you guys should do something about that)

The restaurant was decent and the breakfast was good, but expensive

Fitness center was hard to find on the top floor but good treadmills and decent universla machine. You just have to get off at the top floor go down the hall and then climb some stairs to the roof and go around a corner (totally confusing but you can eventually find it)

Then we find out the place is supposedly haunted and that freaks out my wife and my friends wife. We think it is all BS but then the couple at the tabel next to us in breakfast starts talking about how their shower turned on during the night and they mean turned on full force, not a drip . . . very strange stuff but it won't keep me from coming back. I loved the place and its still close enough to the quarter that you can sort of walk or take avery short taxi ride.

Great place that I was very happy with . . . Joe Sloboda

Room Tip: Stay off the 9th floor that is where the hauntings are reported to happen :-)

We stayed at Le Pavillon for three days in late August. This hotel is beautiful and staff is very pleasant and friendly. The rooms are a tad smaller than in most modern hotels but very comfortable. Bedsheets are high qualiity. This hotel is conveniently located: close enough to the French Quarters to walk within 10 minutes yet far enough to spare you from the noise later at night. The hotel restaurant has a $15 menu daily which consists of mainly comfort food which is perfect if you tend to travel a lot.

We stayed at this hotel coming back from a cruise for 3 days to take in New Orleans. The hotel is beautiful and has quite a history. It is a little bit of a walk to burbon street but honestly not bad at all. The staff is fantastic and friendly. The pool is very nice. All in all a great place to stay no complaints. Definately do not miss eating at NOLA, Cafe Bignet, a night out on Burbon Street or the Plantation excursion!
