“First time visit and it was GREAT!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2011

Not knowing where to stay in New Orleans I asked a friend who lives there where would be a good place to stay and he recommended the International House. It was a great recommendation and we really enjoyed it. We will be back and now we know where to stay in New Orleans.

We love making weekend trips to New Orleans, and over the years have stayed in numerous hotels. I can honestly say, no more searching for the perfect place - we have found it in the International House Hotel. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The lobby, the bar, the rooms and breakfast were wonderful. The deco is beautiful and the location perfect. Short walk to the French Quarter, so much calmer and quieter.

Thanks for a wonderful weekend. I can promise you, we will be back.

I was totally surprised at just how wonderful this hotel was. The lobby is elegant, romantic, yet homey. The staff are wonderful. The room very zen like and calming. Super clean. The room was not huge but large enough. Location is great, just on the margins of the Latin Quarter so nights were not crazy unless you wanted to take a brief walk to people watch. The hotel bar also provided plenty of opportunity for people watching but very serene and somewhat surreal at night with all the candle aglow. If you did not get breakfast with your room , call the hotel in advance of your stay and inquire about the breakfast add-on. The pre-arranged breakfast cost was ten bucks for two people per day for our stay. You can do this even if you have a Priceline Deal. If you add breakfast at arriveal I believe it was $15 per person. Don't hesitate to book here. If you need to be in N.O .you'll want to experience The International House.

I'm writing this as I lay in my comfy king sized bed on my last full day in NoLa. IHH is a GREAT hotel. From the perfect location to everything, to the bar with awesome drinks, to the lovely, accommodating staff, this is an awesome place to kick off your visit to NoLa. My hubby and I are here for our 6 year anniversary and everything about the hotel set the mood. Romantic, candlelit lighting throughout the hotel, soft linens in the room, thick fluffy towels in the bathroom - even the carpet beneath our feet is soft. The rooms are not sprawling, but sufficient - although the king bed is huge and lulls you to sleep. We are from Los Angeles where premium hotel accommodations are the norm and IHH meets the standard we are accustomed to. We will definitely stay here again on a return visit.

We have stayed at International House during Jazzfest in N.O. 4 of the last 5 years. The location is fantastic, on Camp St. a short block from Canal St and the entrance to the French Quarter for restaurants and night life. It's walking distance to the many great restaurants in the downtown business district. IH is a boutique hotel with a very cool atmosphere, a great lobby and very stylish bar. The rooms are medium size but quite comfortable with excellent beds.. The staff could not be more accommodating. If you're planning to attend Jazzfest the busses to and from the Fair are at the corner of Camp and Canal. It couldn't be any easier.

Hip and cool are the first terms that come to mind when entering the lobby of this fantastic hotel. The lobby and attached bar are great people watching areas and both are elegant and comfortable. The service was attentive and friendly and I could not have been more pleased. The room was nicely appointed and had a very sexy cool vibe. This is a hotel for those who want to avoid the mainstream and embrace the eclectic and hip. I will be back. They have a sister hotel called Loft 523 which is also worth checking out.
