“Surprisingly comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2013

I have never stayed on the edge of the French Quarter like this. Usually like to be closer in or in CBD but with Saints, Tulane and Halloween this was our best choice and so close to the Saenger Theatre. Room was comfortable and courtyard very nice especially with the nice weather. Breakfast was great. If I stayed again I would ask for a 2nd floor even though there are no elevators. The people walking upstairs, dragging furniture at 2 am and talking was very disturbing. OR take ear plugs.

Room Tip: 114 was too close to courtyard table and chairs and below rooms with wooden floors.

I love this place. Really charming, amazing staff and great location. Rooms are spotless, everyone is so nice and courteous. I will stay here from now on when visiting New Orleans. It's also incredibly reasonable! The pool is great too.

Room Tip: I loved my room on the first floor near the pool. There is NO elevator so if you have a lot of lugg...

Second year of staying at this hotel. We still love the charm of the rooms and the staff. We love sitting out on the balcony and visiting with either our friends that came with us or with complete strangers! Rooms are always clean and the beds are just fine. We walk everywhere, so the location cant be beat. Only thing that drives us nuts, is the finicky shower! It is very tricky trying to get the temperature you want. For the price, the charm and the location... if that is our only issue.... we are good

I had a great stay at this hotel. The staff is very courteous, respectful and friendly. The location is great. The courtyard and swimming pools are just breathtaking. Clearly, maintenance is well done. I stayed for over one month and had no issues at all. Great times. I also enjoyed personalized service and good recommendations (thanks Dennys!) on where to eat, what to do, etc. Strongly recommended.

On a Friday at 5pm, my husband I decided to drive 6 hours to the French Quarter for the weekend. This hotel's website offered a reasonable last minute price. When I called the hotel, the desk clerk, Dennis, was so nice and so helpful. He promised a charming, nice queen bed room for us overlooking their beautiful courtyard and large swimming pool. He delivered! The room was one of the cleanest I've stayed in at the Quarter. The price couldn't be beaten, and the parking for our oversized dually truck was terrific. The hotel is a little more on the fringe of the Quarter than we usually stay, but only 3 blocks from Bourbon and all the Quarter has to offer. Saturday morning's breakfast was great in our opinion. A large hot waffle with the fleur-de-lis symbol in the middle, served from a beautiful large carved wooden bar that must have been a hundred years old or more. Sheila was so nice as she willingly gave me orange juice after the cutoff time. Later in the courtyard we asked her the history of the hotel. She said Roy knew more about that, and even went to find him for us. Shortly Roy joined us in the courtyard and gave us an interesting story of the hotel's history- how it had been a bar and place to dance in the prohibitiion days. He pointed out the uniqueness of the ceiling in the breakfast room, which was done for acoustics in those days for the music and dancing. Now I must mention Antoinette, our housekeeping lady. She was so friendly, greeting us warmly each morning. On our last day, she ran from the laundry room up the large steps to help my husband with luggage!! We couldn't believe she, or anyone for that matter, would have done that! And checkout with the desk clerk, Rolita was pleasant too. I asked names of these hotel personnel because I wanted to commend them and hope their boss reads this review to thank them. They went out of their way to make this hotel stay for us be extremely pleasant. We'll definitely go back to the New Orleans Courtyard Hotel! Absolutely nothing negative to say about our experience here!

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the pool have beautiful, unusual doors with large typical New Orleans shutters. On...

I used to stay at this property when it was Iberville Suites, Marriott did a great job redecorating the property. Good sized suites, in the Quarter, but quiet. Not your ordinary Courtyard but it blends in nicely with the older building. Two blocks from Bourbon
