“just fine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2012

Located outside of French Quarter which is rather good because less noisy than some other hotels. Rooms are fine with small so-calles kitchen. Unless there is no view from the window but it's not neccessary, you don't come to New Orleans to stay at the hotel room ;) The staff depending on a person, some of them are kind and friendly but there was one guy who wasn't interested in helping us with the right route to the restaurant we chose because he was doing something else and we felt like we're interrupting him.

“It was just an Ok (not bad) place to stay!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

I really enjoyed the customer service given to me at this establishment. The hotel is older with a lovely courtyard and swimming pool. I had a queen room which is small with adequate amenities. My biggest complaint is the walls are very thin so you can hear conversations from the adjacent room or from pool side. I stayed on the list floor across from the pool. My second gripe is location..THIS IS MY FAULT for booking my room so late during the time of the Essence Festival. I don't think the location is ideal for a solo woman since it is at least 6 to 7 blocks from the French Quarter (particularly walking at night).

A continental breakfast is offered from 6:30am to 10:30am. You have a selection of pastries, waffles, fruit, cheese, coffee, and OJ. The breakfast is nothing fancy but adequate to start your morning if you choose.

My room was attended to daily. This is not a fancy hotel so just keep that in mind, but it is not a dump or bad place to stay. At best it is an economy hotel that will offer you a comfortable place to stay.

“Good!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2012

We had a nice stay even though we had made our reservation at the sister hotel and only later realized that they had confirmed us in this one (so better to always double check). The fact that it is in Treme is actually an advantage: it's still really close to everything but it also has the non fancy and real flavor you look for in NO. The personell was genuinely nice and available and they have a nice little garden with two pools, which is cool. Nice and confy: would recommend it.

“Honeymoon”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2012

This hotel was great for the location. Downtown in the middle of all the action. It's clean. But it's an older hotel with no upgrades and minimal repairs. I would stay again but understand, it's just a clean bed in a really cool historic area.

“Great last minute deal for room, very pricey parking”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2012

Went online the night before and found a decent last minute price for a Queen room. $149 for two nights including breakfast. Parking was $25 a night. The price was made clear at the time of booking and the parking is covered by security camera and gated at night, but including tax it was $56 to park my car for two nights at the hotel, whichever way you look at it, that's a bit much. That aside, I thought the hotel was excellent, especially considering the room price. The location is on the edge of the french quarter so the tourist areas are easily walkable. Bourbon St is about five minutes walk. The pool is really nice in the courtyard, which was a nice antidote to the 32C heat and high humidity when I stayed. The staff were chatty and informative. The building is old and the water takes a while to heat up,but it's all part of the charm. My room had a great little four post bed and red brick floor. As mentioned by other reviewers, there are no facilities such as a coffee pot, or fridge in the room, this is something that could be addressed quite easily by hotel management.

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper,or plan on resting/relaxing/sleeping during the day in your room, then ask...
