We found this hotel to be friendly and comfortable. The decor was stunning and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The wait staff in the restaurant were out of this world! So friendly and such exceptional service they have set the benchmark for other restaurants!

This was a wonderful stay. The lobby is beautiful, the rooms were clean, the staff courteous.
The location was perfect. We were right in the middle of the action on Bourbin Street w/o being directly on the street.

I really enjoyed my stay at Bourbon Orleans which is in an excellent location, walking distance to all the great restaurants and shops. The staff was friendly helpful and accommodating. My room overlooked the inner courtyard and the pool. It was large and the beds were comfortable. The lobby is gorgeous and comfortable. No ghost encounters for me which made the stay even more enjoyable.

My sister and I stayed here Sept. 21-24, 2013 and absolutely loved the location. We could walk almost everywhere we wanted to go, and it's right by the French Quarter so we could drink what we wanted and then just stumble back. What I know now, that I didn't when I booked the room, is that you have to steer clear of the the rooms on the 2nd floor--HORRIBLE. It wasn't even noise from Bourbon Street that was so bad, it was the slamming doors from the hotel staff ALL NIGHT LONG. Our room was also unfortunately located right next to the gym and that door kept slamming shut, too. The elevator was also so noisy that it just became funny after a while--we couldn't believe it. Like another reviewer, we also took issue with the dopey shower (only half a glass partition) and the super bad lighting. We also took great, great issue with the woman who was tending bar in the lounge downstairs. We stood directly in front of her for 10 minutes and she didn't even acknowledge us, and when she finally did take our order, rather than make the drinks, she walked over to a table of guys and spent another 10 minutes talking to them. It's literally THE worst service we've ever had anywhere--so much so that we still remember it and rate other places against it--"Is this as bad as the bar at the Bourbon Orleans? No? Then we're fine." We thought we'd try again the next night just to see if she was having a better time of it, but she wasn't--this is clearly an acceptable level of service to her, and it wasn't. It just wasn't. However, all this said, I'd stay here again in a heartbeat for the location alone--it really makes up for a lot.

Room Tip: Avoid the second floor at all costs.

Pros: HIstorical hotel, central location in the Quarter, beautiful decor, friendly and responsivie staff, very nice rooms. We've stayed there twice and had a very good time, love being in the place. You can't beat the location, can walk to Jackson Square and Cafe du Monde.

Cons: None really, but I do have to say the pillows on the bed were surprisingly hard which made sleeping a bit uncomfortable. The hotel doesn't offer any other kind of pillow. But this didn't effect the enjoyment of staying there.

Try the Grapevine restaurant across on Orleans Street, wonderful! In warm weather you can eat in the courtyard. We've been there several times and it's great.

Room Tip: If you want more quiet, ask for a room that's not on Bourbon Street--that would be Orleans or (I...

Stay here as often as we can...have yet to see a ghost though! Great service, very cool rooms, delicious breakfast and a connecting bar/lounge with excellent drinks and food. Our favorite New Orleans hotel.

I have stayed at well over 100 hotels all over the world and this is by far the most impressive. Every member of the staff from check in, to passers by, housekeepers, and bartenders were the most friendly I have ever experienced. I have previously stayed at 5-6 hotels in or around the french quarter and this beats them all, hands down. Whatever you are doing, keep it up. You have a great hotel and staff.

Room Tip: Get one overlooking the poool
