“Wonderful hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

Having spent three nights down by the Convention Center with no patio or balcony and not even able to access the pool area after 10pm, it was a relief to spend the last 2 nights of our visit right in the FQ and have a balcony. Coming from Boston, I wanted to enjoy the warm climate as much as possible so the balcony was important. And fun! The location cut down the walking a little bit so that was convenient. The hotel itself if absolutely beautiful and the staff was wonderful. Beds were extra comfortable, shower pressure strong and lobby coffee delicious. I've stayed at this hotel before and would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: We had the double room with a balcony on the 5th floor. It was perfect

Whether it is your first trip or your one hundredth, there is no better place to stay in the Quarter! The Bourbon Orleans offers authentic old world charm with every amenity provided by a delightful staff. Mere steps from daytime shopping delights on Royal or non-stop nightlife of world famous Bourbon Street, this hotel offers a cool oasis to refresh and regroup. Decidedly petite and cozy size rooms are well appointed for your comfort. A complimentary drink at the hotel bar is icing on the cake!

Got a great deal on this hotel through Hotels Tonight for a 2 night mid-week stay. Staff are very friendly. At checkin we upgraded to a King room for around $10 extra per night and we got a coupon each for a free drink at the bar.
The room was very spacious and comfortable with a nice view of the pool. It's very hard to beat the location of this hotel. Bourbon street is on the corner, but we didn't hear any noise at all (being mid-week could have something to do with this!).
As with all hotels in New Orleans parking is very expensive at around $35 per night plus tax. It also takes over 30 minutes to get your car so call ahead if you're planning on driving.
All in all we really enjoyed this hotel and would stay there again.

My friend and I went for a few days and I didn't have time to do the research that I usually do, but went with the Bourbon Orleans Hotel. The location is fabulous and the personnel were exceptional as well. The room was a double on the sixth floor. It was supposed to be two queens, but we were allowed to check in early and didn't complain. The valets, baggage guys and desk workers were very nice, but paying $34 a day to have your car parked 15 miles outside of the city was over the top. Especially since we found out we could have parked in public parking two blocks away for $20 a day. I would stay here again...but would park elsewhere.

Me and my wife stayed here for 8 nights at the end of Easter.
Had a long Journey over from England with long delays at Atlanta so it was approximately 3am when we finally arrived, check in was smooth and the Manager on reception (Laura possibly) very helpful, gave us some brief information of where to get food etc and swiftly arranged for our bags to be carried up to our room (559)
Staff were very helpful throughout our stay from the valets on the door to the managers at the hotel very accommodating opening doors etc as my wife was in a wheelchair for the duration of the stay, lift access was no problem at all either.
Room itself was great, sort of towards the back of the courtyard overlooking a few trees and rooftops, very clean and a nice big comfy bed
One thing that I was expecting would be difficulty sleeping due to the location of the hotel. I have to say that it was not even an issue, the only noise I heard was when the cleaners came round about 9am in which I was already awake!
Overall a great hotel, location was perfect right in the heart of everything, staff very helpful and friendly throughout. For our first trip to New Orleans it was the ideal hotel and I would have no hesitation whatsoever in staying here again when I come back!

Our first trip back to NOLA in many years and we decided to stay in the heart of the quarter. The Bourbon Orleans was just the ticket for a prefect return to this great city. Stayed three nights and would loved to have stayed more. The room was small but adequate. We payed extra for a balcony and it was worth it. Wish we would have had more seating on the balcony. Only 4 chairs to share between 3 rooms as you had to share the balcony. Pleasantly surprised at the walk in shower with fast hot water and plenty of pressure for a great shower. Very hot and humid but the air worked well. We kept it on 65 for 3 days and it never let us down! There was a "Jazz Band Camp" going on while we were there so every time you opened the door you could hear some instrument. Piano, brass, guitar, etc. but you could not hear it in the room. It was a wonderful stay.

Only hick-up was at checkout. We were planning an extended trip through the Cajun country so we had a good bit of luggage with us. I called for a bellman I let the phone ring more than a dozen times. Called again and let it ring and ring, Finally someone answered and told me very curtly "15 minutes" and they hung up. After 30 we started taking it down ourselves. When I told the lady at the desk, all I got was "oh, sorry". If not for the front desk service, I would have given it a full 5.
