“Happy with location, and services, would stay again”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013

LOVED the location and the amenities were fine. 1800's hotel was just what we were looking for as we do not like chains no matter how high class. Areas to improve. Need music in bar, at 8pm waiting to go out, there was none. Front desk lady not very helpful or engaging in. Acted like we were bothering her whenever in her presence. Don't know her name though. Would definitely stay there again though

Room Tip: All the rooms had paper thin walls and we could hear everything going on. handicapped rooms were nic...

This hotel promises much before you visit. The website looks great, and they send you a nice friendly welcome email in advance. The building itself is a beautiful old hotel in a great location. The rooms (at least the Vieux Carre room) are large and comfortable. But don't go here if you want to sleep. My room overlooked the courtyard (not Bourbon), so there wasn't any noise from outside, but inside was a different matter - there were two bachelor parties on the Friday night and people were partying in the hallway till 2am. Despite asking the front desk twice to sort this out, I don't think they did anything as the noise never stopped, not even after I asked them myself. There was a wedding the following day till midnight and again the noise went on till the early hours. I think part of the problem is that the walls and doors are very thin - voices are amplified in the corridors - and there are large suites available so this appeals to big groups of people staying for weddings and parties. The hotel is aware of this (they offer you ear plugs) but they don't seem able to do much about it. I was here for 5 nights, and never once had a good night's sleep, and I'm not a light sleeper. Go for the location, and if you are on holiday and don't mind too much if your sleep is disturbed. If you're there for business, as I was, try somewhere else. I left disappointed (and tired).

Room Tip: Ask for a courtyard-view room, not on the 3rd floor. Avoid rooms near the suites, as these may be no...

This place is very nice. But it is loud due to being on Bourbon so you must prepare for that. The people were extremely nice and professional. The pool area was beautiful and loved the location. We had a wonderful stay in a balcony room. The weather for perfect for sitting outside and having a glass of wine.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bourbon Orleans! The room was large and immaculate, and the bed was very comfortable. Every staff member, from bellboys to desk staff to manager, was warm and gracious. Beautiful lobby and pool area. Location is perfect-- on a quiet street right near restaurants, shops, and galleries. The hotel is filled with history and atmosphere. We plan to return soon!

First time to N'Orleans, and this hotel was the perfect choice. Excellent location in the center of everything. The hotel lobby and the staff are really welcoming and friendly; shout out to Caleb. The hotel lobby is old world charming. The rooms are very comfortable. We had a room facing Orleans, and really the noise was not an issue whatsoever. I hope to return soon!

Room Tip: Stayed in room facing Orleans. Noise not a problem.

We really enjoyed our time in New Orleans and this hotel was at a great location if you want to go on Bourbon Street. We were at the hotel for a wedding. My husband said he didn't like that the hotel room we had didn't have a dresser. The closet was big enough but what little drawer space we had was used up quickly. You can hear Bourbon Street from the rooms so make note of that when you ask for a room. Ask for one that is in the back or away from the noise, but we were on the 4th floor and wasn't really that bad.

The location of this hotel was excellent. It was right in the middle of Bourbon Street activities without the craziness of young and underage drinkers. The hotel was fisrt class and our corner suite overlooked Bourbon Street. The beds were excellent, and I for one know something about this, as I rarely ever sleep well on the first night in a hotel. The staff is excellent and I must showcase Adam and Louis Miller. Adam was our bellhop who catered to our every need each day. Louis is the valet manager and is the kind of person who gives service like you expected in former years. If there is an isssue he will work it out for you and make the hotel look great. Everyone in town for the wedding gave rave reviews with most stating that they will return in the future.

Room Tip: Corner suites are large and sunny
