“New Orleans hospitality and refinement with a Bourbon Street vibe.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

Great hotel, very fresh renovations in rooms. Asked for highest floor and got 6th fronting Bourbon Street. Only window in room is angled down towards the activity below but does seem somewhat architecturally questionable. Wonderful quality accoutrements (bedding, furniture, consumables). Large bathroom with excellent counter space and stylish walk-in shower. Had King standard room which was not very large but was very comfortable.

Noise from Bourbon Street was noticable at night but didn't impact me at all, kind of a nice white noise.

Moved from a recently rebadged Wyndham in the quarter and difference was night and day.

Stay here if you want refined comfort with easy access to all of the French Quarter.

Concierge was great with restaurant and activity recommendations, front desk and reservation folks were helpful and accomodating when i inquired about reducing rates to ones that i had seen on-line.

Overall a fantastic experience all around, highly recommended.

Room Tip: The suites with balconies must be fun and spacious but i stayed in a standard king. Might be tight...

this hotel accomadations were very good. We stayed in a room with no balcony so the nose level was low. Hotel employees were very helpful , friendly and always asked if they could do anything for you. Good stay. Room was roomy and clean. It was Sisters weekend so there were 3 of us( all woman) in the room and had no
problem with the size.

Room Tip: balcony rooms are nosy

The Bourbon Orleans Hotel is well-located in the heart of The French Quarter. We were given 2 free drink tickets for the bar on check-in. Housekeeping was friendly and thorough. The elevators were out in two instances, but they were fixed promptly, so I won't lower the rating because of that.

My stay at the bourbon Orleans was fantastic. It's close to bourbon st. and close to all the fine places to eat. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied. I would def. recommend this as a place to stay.

The Bourbon Orleans Hotel is well-located in the heart of The French Quarter. Turn left on exiting the front door and you are one-half block from the unique shops of Royal Street; turn right and the bawdy excess of Bourbon Street is a half block away. The Mississippi riverfront with boat rides, dinner cruises, and the Riverwalk festival market is an easy five or ten minute walk. Many of the city’s famous restaurants are equally accessible. The Bourbon Orleans is a well-restored historic hotel with all the charm and the shortcomings of such a property. My room was spacious with a comfortable bed. Unfortunately, it lacked a comfortable chair, the only seating being a roll-around desk chair. The floor plan of the guest room floors is essentially a square with one inconvenient problem. You can’t walk all the way around the square and the two guest elevators are located at the far end of one of the dead end sides of the square. If you are assigned a high number room you will have a long walk to the elevators. Perhaps the greatest strength of the property is the friendly accommodating staff. The front door is always well covered by several bell staff members who never fail to open the door for you and wish you good by or welcome you back.

Room Tip: For each floor get the lowest number room you can. The best rooms are numbered X01 or X02. The 02 ro...

Hotel staff very attentive. The rooms are a bit small compared to similar priced luxury hotels on bourbon street, but the hotel itself is on the quieter end which allowed us to sleep at night. Bathroom is gorgeous. We were given 2 free drink tickets for the bar on check-in. Housekeeping was thorough. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: interior room-view of courtyard/pool, able to get more sleep at night

Terrific hotel, great location, very friendly staff and very comfortable bed when we could sleep!!! We stayed at the Bourbon Orleans Wed to Sunday for my husband & mines 40th birthday bash and had a wonderful time.
My only three complaints would be 1) the slamming of the doors which you can hear very clearly in every room; 2) the air did not work well at all Friday - Sunday so the rooms were very stuffy; 3) the maids talking very loudly back and forth to each other in the halls early in the morning.
Even with the above complaints we would stay at Bourbon Orleans again. :)
