We have been to New Orelans MANY times but never in December. In fact, my husband and I have celebrated Mardi Gras in NO since 1993. This was our first visit at Christmas and our first time to stay at the Bourbon Orleans. Can you say IDEAL location? It was the most convenient we have found...perfect for walking to the French Market, shopping in The Quarter, Mass at St. Louis Cathedral, even walking to Canal Street. EVERY staff member was friendly, courteous and helpful. Doormen were always on target with directions. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. We had 2 meals at the hotel during our week's stay--the Sunday breakfast buffet and an evening meal were both enjoyable and allowed us to escape the wind and rain.
