“Reunion Weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

We were putting together a friends reunion trip to coincide with a conference prior, and our travel agent suggested Bourbon Orleans (a special rate was being offered) - he strongly recommended it, especially after all of the dead-ends I'd experienced trying to book a quality hotel near the French Quarter for our group of 16.
It turned out to be the best advise of the weekend - from the time the doorman greets you when you get out of the car to the time the smiling desk clerk gives your receipt on the way home it is a wonderful experience! The location is absolutely perfect for walking around the Quarter, down to the Market and over to Frenchman Street. The restored hotel is a wonderful property, with all the modern amenities you expect, and for a very reasonable price! Free drink tickets at the bar, great room service, a nice heated pool, comfortable lobby and an excellent on-property restaurant combine to make this a real deal right off Bourbon Street. Some of our group ended up in pretty small standard rooms, but the manager upgraded us to a two-floor suite with a huge balcony, so it worked out great as a gathering spot. If you're looking for a nice property with a very convenient location and a friendly, knowledgable staff, look no further.

Room Tip: Ask the manager Chris if there are any upgrades available - it stays pretty full but he was very acc...

Nice enough staff, enjoyed the drink coupons. It is located in a great place, so close to bourbon but very quiet. The only think that irked me was something that happened after we left. My fiancee was in charge of checking the room for any items left behind one last time before we checked out. Somehow he managed to leave his glasses in their case on the bathroom counter. We called from the airport to ask if the room had been cleaned and if they were found. The staff that answered the phone was very hard to understand. It was very frustrating to try and get through red tape to find them. After assuring me they would check and call/email me with the results of the search, they never did. I called back the next day and they had still not been found. Overall, it was not that big of a deal, but now my fiancee is wearing his old glasses, and he looks like Benjamin Franklin... We would stay here again.

Room Tip: We were disappointing to be given a room on the 1st floor, thought it would be noisy... it was absol...

my husband and I stayed here on our most recent trip to New Orleans, we live only a few hours away and make this trip quite often choosing a different hotel and different site to visit each stay. This was our most recent selection and out of all of the hotels we have encountered the Bourbon Orleans is our favorite! Most people in this city work in the service industry and are very friendly, the staff at the Bourbon Orleans definitely make you feel important no matter what time of day you encounter them. Will be staying here more often!

Stayed here at a relatives suggestion for a business trip vs. staying in the hotel cluster near the convention center. It was a good choice. The hotel is 1/2 block from Bourbon Street and from Jackson Square. Noise from Bourbon Street was not a problem. Room was clean and bathroom was large and well maintained. Courtyard with pool was not used but looked great. A travelling companion said the gym faciliities were excellent. I would definitely return here again. Breakfast consists of buffet on certain days or order from menu. We did not try dinner but I have heard it was good. There were too many restaurants in the area.

Room Tip: Odd numbers face Orleans Street. There is some light filtering in. All appear to be nice.

My husband and I go to New Orleans several times a year, and we always stay here. The price is excellent for the quality of rooms and the location. It is a beautiful old hotel, with a lot of history--even a few ghosts ;). I highly recommend the Bourbon Orleans!

My wife and I celebrated our 40th anniversary in New Orleans. Our stay at Bourbon Orleans was wonderful. Located in the heart of the "Quarter" we were within walking distance of all the great restaurants and attractions of the French Quarter.

Stayed in an interior room facing the inner courtyard and pool. This was awesome. No street noise from the everlasting party outside. The hotel is easy walking distance to great places to eat, shop, see, and anything we could think to do in the french quarter. We would defintely stay again.
