“Welcome to New Orleans!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2012

I attended the 2012 Essence Music Festival in New Orleans this year and my stay here was great! There was exceptional customer service, each day providing us with directions to local restaurants and tourist spots! We had two rooms and was not affected by the noise on Bourbon Street, it was close but not enough to disturb my sleep as with all the other hotels on Bourbon! I would definitely recommend a stay here, it was within walking distance of everywhere that I needed to go!

Room Tip: I stayed in a room facing the street and it was fine, however keep blinds closed if staying on first...

I had seen a couple of bad reviews and almost did not stay here. Luckily I went with my instinct and found it to be a very charming place. Wonderful, old "French Quarter" feel, right on Bourbon Street, yet once you step off the street into the lobby it is quiet and calm.

Stayed at Bourbon Orleans for four nights over the fourth of July. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Location is ideal for walking anywhere around the French Quarter and river walk area. Can be noisy on weekend nights, suggest an interior room if you want quiet. Pool area is nice for relaxing after a busy day sight seeing. Rooms are large and beds are very comfortable! Free coffee in the lobby every morning from 6:30 - 8:30am, and water and iced tea in the afternoon. Highly recommend this hotel!

Room Tip: interior if you want quiet, exterior if you like to watch/be a part of the Bourbon Street action...a...

Since reviews said the rooms were small, we went with 2 rooms for our family of 5. Reservation specialist gave us a great deal, but was unsure about getting the rooms together. However, within 5 minutes of hanging up, she called back and had secured 2 rooms side by side. The rooms were right on Bourbon Street, so they are noisy, but we expected that and brought noise machines. The rooms have recently been updated, so everything was in good condition. The bathroom was very clean. The guest room could have been a little better. The air return was filthy, the room mirror was spattered, and the guest services book was sticky. All-in-all though, the linens were in great shape, and the staff was friendly.

I recently had a short stay at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel, after staying at the Westin Canal Place for a convention. Without a doubt it offers the finest in facility, food, and customer service. While right on Bourbon Street, it was remarkably quiet, as I had a courtyard room overlooking the heated saltwater pool. If you are going to New Orleans, check out the Bourbon Orleans Hotel. You'll be glad you did!

Room Tip: Courtyard rooms overlooking the pool are ultra-quiet!
