“a must-taste in new orleans”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

a trip to angelo brocato's is a great way to get off the beaten path in new orleans. it is located a fair distance from the usual downtown tourist-traps, in the heart of mid-city. getting there is half the fun (you'll pass through the beautiful bayou st. john neighborhood), and the gelato really is in a class of it's own.

“Well worth a stop”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

The are many places to go in New Orleans for ice cream (or gelato). This is simply the best we have found. Everything seems to be good and fresh. The people are friendly. The area is safe and the shop is easy to find. Just go out N Carrollton the shop is on the right just past the Walgeens Drug store. This was our second trip to Brocato having gone there last year. Sometimes when you return to a place it it not as good the second time. Not so here. We have traveled to a lot of places in the world, this ice cream matches any other.
