Always great ice cream and Italian sweets!!! Carry out or dine in it's always good!!
It's a treat for locals and tourist alike!! Take the Canal St car to Carrollton Ave and walk a block and a half.

“Well worth a stop”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

The are many places to go in New Orleans for ice cream (or gelato). This is simply the best we have found. Everything seems to be good and fresh. The people are friendly. The area is safe and the shop is easy to find. Just go out N Carrollton the shop is on the right just past the Walgeens Drug store. This was our second trip to Brocato having gone there last year. Sometimes when you return to a place it it not as good the second time. Not so here. We have traveled to a lot of places in the world, this ice cream matches any other.

“You must go here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

This is an old-fashioned Italian gelato and pastry shop in New Orleans. Everything there is made by the family who owns the store and it's been there seemingly forever. The cannolis are amazing and were the entire reason I first decided to go here. These are filled when ordered and come with vanilla cream on one side and chocolate on the other and then dipped in crushed pistachios. I am not a chocoholic and prefer vanilla, so I always order mine just vanilla. I also love their Italian sodas and you have a huge choice of flavors. You also have a large assortment of gelatos and Italian ices... I am totally in love with the Zuppa Englese flavor. Cookies can be ordered online as well as in store. And they also do coffee. You must go here. Seriously.
