My husband and I stayed at Hotel Royal for our honeymoon in October, 2007. We had an excellent room on the third floor, balcony overlooking Royal Street. The room had a king size bed, with posts and netting, beautiful lamps on each night stand, two large comfortable chairs, another large table at the end of the bed, large closet, with iron and ironing board, coffee maker, refrigerator, alarm clock, large jacquizi tub, large shower and it was clean. This may be the more expensive suite. It was large. It was room 12, I believe. The only noise we heard was the children playing at the school across the street. I never heard anyone walking up and down the stairs. I know there were people there because several had checked in as we were waiting. Some were groups of people. It was a convenient location for walking to the grocery store; loved the little store downstairs on the corner. The only inconvenience was no parking. We spent three nights and four days. Peter the day clerk was very helpful and polite. .
