Maison de Macarty is AMAZING! The Place is spotless, private and super cozy. We chose to stay in the cottage which was an amazing choice. We had our own private entry, access to the pool.

The location was a little further than what we normally trek but is within walking distance to all of the relevant Bywater and Marigny attractions, and because we have friends in the area this was not a problem for us. The owner Kurt is extremely helpful and considerate, and Chef Curtis would whip up something that was always delicious and filling. Make sure you have the banana bread French toast with praline bacon.

Personally we could not think of one complaint with the exception of not exploring the rest of the main house. Kurt runs a top notch B&B and we can't wait to return. Thank you guys so much

In a word, FABULOUS! My husband and I were made to feel right at home.....we loved the pool cottage, the daily breakfasts (YUMMY beyond compare!) and our hosts were just the very, very best. We have already booked another stay for this fall.

Maison de Macarty is a trifecta of hospitalty, cuisine and decor. Relaxing surroundings and conveniently located---Curt, Warren and Curtis could not have been more hospitable!
A friend asked when looking at one of my pictures "Where is this Eden?" I will certainly return!

Maison de Macarty is a great B&B. Everything was super clean and comfortable. Our hosts were very friendly and accomodating (my husband and I are both vegetarians, so the chef prepared us a special breakfast). We stayed in the pool cottage which was beautiful, comfortable, and a home away from home. The pool area is beautiful as well! The B&B is located in Bywater, which is a fun, ecclectic neighborhood with some really great restaurants. It's about a twenty minute or so walk to the French Quarter. We left our car at the B&B (safer and cheaper than parking dowtown), and then took a cab back at night, which was generally around $10. Overall, we had a great stay and would highly recommend Maison de Macarty!

I have to echo the other reviewers and can only add that because the place is recently renovated, there is a freshness and vitality to the decor. Room #1 has the feeling of a luxurious apartment - quiet and elegant, cooled by fan and ac (with thermostat). The breakfasts were divine. The people we met were just wonderful. The local art, music, and foodie scene is exciting. We biked to the Quarter, we biked to the lower ninth ward, we biked all through Bywater, really loving the colorful shot gun style and cottage architecture. The only time we drove was when it was too far or hot to walk or bike. I highly recommend staying in Bywater, and at Maison de Macarty in particular.

Such a delightful place to stay! We actually live right around the corner, but took an impromptu vacation when our air conditioning went out. I wish we could do it every week. Most comfortable bed ever! The whole place is just so classy. Everything was wonderful, especially the breakfast! I highly recommend this place to all people who come to town visiting us.

My son and his beautiful bride were married at the B & B in May. It was the best wedding ever. The immediate family stay at the house and the good times began....
The surroundings were beautiful. The rooms were very comfortable--good beds, linens & pillows. The staff was so accomodating. Kurt took great care of every need we had and Curtis created a scrumptious breakfast every day.
I hope to go back soon for just a relaxing weekend.
Thank you Kurt! Our family had the best time.
