We spent four nights here at the end of July / start of August on the honeymoon package and had a wonderful stay. John was an excellent host throughout, very down to earth. He gave us a great welcome and talked about the best bars, restaurants and places to visit. He made the most amazing breakfasts, no two were ever the same during our stay.

We stayed in the owners suite and it was very large and comfortable. The suite was decorated with lots of ornaments and pictures of Madri Gras and other New Orleans bits and pieces. It's very like a small apartment. The kitchen is next to the suite and is open all day and night for snacks and refreshments.

The location of the B&B could not be better, its down the quiet end of Bourbon Street, about a five minute walk to all the bars and restaurants but residential and quiet in the evenings. Safety was not a worry, the area is perfectly safe day and night. Cannot recommend this B&B enough, location, room quality, breakfast and hosting was all excellent.

Recently stayed here on a recommendation from a friend, and really glad we did. Loved the house - very cozy and nicely decorated - there is even a nice little patio area in the back! John is an extremely nice guy and we had a great time talking to him about the goings-on in his city. The B&B is in a great location - a short walk from the middle of the Quarter and the music clubs on Frenchmen St., but far enough away from the action that you can get a good night's sleep when you are done for the night! Speaking of sleep, the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept on. I highly recommend checking out this B&B next time you travel to NOLA - I don't think I'll be staying elsewhere.

My wife and I spent 5 days here. John is an excellent host and provided the most enjoyable breakfasts. The B&B is located only a few minutes from the French Quarter and felt very safe - we had no issues walking back late at night. There's lots of great music and places to eat within a few minutes walking distance. Places we thoroughly enjoyed were the 3 Muses for great tapas and great music and the Spotted Cat - excellent music. We'd definitely stay here again if we returned to New Orleans.

We just returned from three nights at La Maison Marigny so we have some recent summertime experience. Although there are many good B & B's in New Orleans to choose from, you won't go wrong with this one. Its location on Bourbon Street is adjacent to the French Quarter in a very nice residential area that is quiet, yet convenient for a short walk to the area's sites. Frenchmen St. is right around the corner with its own blend of local music and restaurants. John, the owner, cooks amazing breakfasts and is a font of knowledge about where to go and how to get there. My wife and I enjoyed spending the evenings after dinner in the French Quarter sitting on the porch sipping wine and saying hi to the locals walking by. This area is safe by the way. Nothing to worry about. Our room was huge and well furnished.
