“Very trendy hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

I stayed at the AC twice in the past month for business, and I found it to be a great alternative to the regular Marriott in New Orleans. There is no lounge which is a bummer, but they have European style (similar food to a European airport lounge) breakfast and a bar with GREAT drinks and small plates. Each Platinum member gets 2 free drinks, so this is the place to stay if you are looking for delicious cocktails and drinks on tap! The small plates are very affordable and delicious.

The rooms are good, with great updated TVs (you can link them to your Netflix/Hulu accounts which was cool), comfortable beds, and nice showers.

The biggest downside to this hotel is it is impossible to find your way around on the guest floors; it is like a maze and they don't have signs telling you where the elevator is! Additionally, the room I had the second night looked directly into a parking garage and was extremely noisy and creepy.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a view to the street or on a higher floor to avoid noise

Had such a nice stay at the AC hotel in NOLA. Great location off of Canal, really nice clean rooms, free breakfast for Marriott rewards members. Very helpful staff and great atmosphere at the hotel bar. Cassie makes a great whiskey smash!!!

The cocktails at the ac hotel bourbon are amazing. Cassie our mixologist was a rockstar. Bourbon near Bourbon Street has never been so good! Great atmosphere too!

The hotel is also amazing. Rooms are really modern, cool, and clean.

The AC offers comfortable sophistication with very nice amenities. USB ports throughout the room with subtle lighting accents, large HD flatscreen and a nicely detailed bathroom. The staff are pleasant and knowledgable. The location is very nice, one block from Canal and the beginning of the French Quarter. Enjoy!!

This was our first time at the AC Hotel. It had a great location - close enough to walk to trolleys and French Quarter - but far away from the night life to get a good night of sleep. The hotel is newly renovated and needs to work out a few kinks, but the beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean and modern. Rooms are equipped with all of the standard amenities you would expect from an upscale hotel - safe, refrigerator, coffee maker, flat-screen television, free wifi, etc. The best part of our experience was the interaction with hotel staff. We found them to be extremely professional and driven to provide superior customer service. There wasn't a request that Chelsea - at the front desk - couldn't accommodate. Dwayne, the best bartender ever, supplied us with wonderful drinks (a few of his own creations were awesome). He also provided the best advice on where the locals eat, shop, etc. We discovered so many new and wonderful places because of his suggestions. Both Chelsea and Dwayne made our trip and our stay at AC special. And no, we are not related to either of them. :)

We decided to head to New Orleans at the last minute. We checked the Monteleone, (Our NOLA favorite), but they were booked. This hotel popped up on the Marriott website. I knew the location would be near one of our favorite restaurants, The Red Fish Grille, so we booked it.

We were pleased with the hotel. Front desk staff was efficient. Room was clean and new, although a bit on the small side. Bed was comfortable. We could not hear any of the noise of Canal Street. Thank goodness! Bathroom door was a little odd, but okay. Would stay here again.

I chose this hotel because it looked like it was going to be super unique and close to the Quarter. I travel with my large family of eight. I requested adjoining rooms and was told it would be no problem but upon arrival I was told that our rooms would not be together and not even on the same floor. Very disappointing considering I packed things to share. During our check in, the front desk person swiped my card several times saying it didn't go through, however, it did go through putting a hold on my account for a ridiculous amount of money not only for the duration of our trip but for an additional 3 to 5 business days. This is a big deal and no one there was concerned or offered any help.

The rooms were okay but no bathroom privacy at all. The air cuts off at night and the noise level was insane.

I have never written a negative review before and it saddens me that I've had too this time. I can assure you that I will never stay at this property again and will make sure to let others know about my experience. Also, don't waste your money on an upgraded room, there was no difference.
