“Perfect location and great value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013

We stayed here over 2nd weekend Jazz Fest last week and were thrilled with the place. Rooms were clean and fairly spacious. Lovely front and back porches. Very nice salt water pool and hot tub. The location was ideal for me as it was very near Frenchmen, the quarter and the Fair Grounds where Fest is held. Actually walked to Fest one day and it wasn't too awful. Tom and Gary were most gracious hosts. My mother and I would go back in a heartbeat! Thanks again, guys. We had a stellar experience!

Room Tip: Rooms in back have their own balconies overlooking the pool/hot tub

We had the good luck to be able to stay at this bed and breakfast this month. It is a beautiful, well kept house and the hosts could not be friendlier. There is a pool and two of the rooms have rooms with balconies overlooking the pool. The inn is just at the eastern border of the French Quarter, making it very convenient and close to Frenchmens' Street with lots of local music (we did not get there at the right time, but we are told it is great.) The breakfast was not a hot breakfast, but bagels, cereal, and pastries and coffee. It was perfect for us, since we had most of our meals already planned and wanted only something to start our day, before we got down to serious eating in the quarter. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck in the afternoons with a glass of wine after walking all morning in the French Quarter, before striking out for dinner. Because it is on the edge of the Quarter, it was also comparatively quiet, although the stray midnight reveler did pass by on occasion. The only complaints I had were that the bed was a bit hard for my back (the king balcony room) and there was a small conditioning shampoo, which with my long hair is not very helpful when I count on inns for those toiletries with all the travel restrictions. Still, I did not ask for more and am fairly convinced that they would have provided more with pleasure if I had but asked. (I simply bought my own allowing me to get my preferred brand).

Room Tip: Ask for the balcony with the queen bed or the king balcony room. These are bright and sunny and it...

It was my first visit in New Orleans and thanks to our stay in Maison DuBois, it was awesome!
I felt in love with this old house and the location of the house couldn't be better! It's so close to everything, so we didn't need to use our car at all. The house and rooms are very clean and the staff of the house was always friendly and helpful. The pool is beutiful and very refreshing. We are definately planning to visit Maison DuBois again!!

We were welcomed into this beautiful 1840's home by charming and accommodating hosts. Our room was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable with a balcony overlooking a charming private garden and pool. The location, on the edge of the Marigny is convenient to the French Quarter as well as the wonderful music and dining on Frenchmen Street. Surpassed all our expectations.

This charming B&B is wonderful. The location is perfect, not in the center so you don't get the noise and crowd but close enough to walk to the heart of the French quarter. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The accommodation is charming and spacious with a nice living room. The pool/jacuzzi are is a big plus. I would definitely come back time and time with my visit to the Big Easy for any of the cities fun festivities.

Room Tip: The rooms in the back with access to the balcony to the pool are great rooms.

Can't say enough about Tom and his B&B. Tom was extremely helpful and courteous. Location was within walking distance of French Quarter and Frenchmen's St. Very quite and beautiful neighborhood. House was like be back in 20's. Thanks Tom

Everything one expects in upscale luxury in the charming "Big Easy." Feel at welcome in this beautifully decorated "home" with a private, secluded pool and jacuzzi--including the peaceful sound of a water fall.

Tom of course is the consummate innkeeper, with a wealth of knowledge willingly shared. His gracious and infectious demeanor immediately makes you feel as though you've known him all of your life. Leave, knowing you want to come back!
