“Average and edible”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

The food wasn't great but it wasn't bad. Just nothing spectacular. The service was very good though.

“Very very tasty. Great bread pudding!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013 via mobile

Delicious food. Typically large American size portions. The fried greet tomato app was absolutely delicious, as was the bread pudding. Everything we ate was good, but those stood out. The cocktails were...meh. Conveniently located. Could use music.

“Excellent Food, Great Service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013

Kudos to the staff, and Brian, our waiter, who went out of his way to ensure we had a great time! Beware of the corn and potatoes, tastes wonderful, but is like eating liquid fire! Everything was delicious, and we will be BACK!

“My husband loved it...But this isn't his review”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

Let me start by saying the service was decent, as well as the atmosphere. My husband had the gumbo, and thought it was the best he'd ever had. He also enjoyed his entrée A LOT. But this isn't his review. I ordered a simple grilled chicken, "chef's choice" potato, & steamed veggies. Seems simple enough, right? The chicken looked and tasted like something foreign. Tough, poorly seasoned, and just looked strange. One bite of the potatoes, and that was WAY too many. I love potatoes cooked in ANY fashion. (Think Bubba & shrimp for my potatoes, "mashed potatoes, fried potatoes, baked potatoes..." you get the point) I have never met a potato I didn't like until today. Even though I ate 2 small bites of chicken, a one small bite of the potatoes, the waitress took my uneaten food, and never even noticed. Hey waitress...a plate of uneaten food means the food stinks! Too bad my hubby loved the gumbo and the shrimp covered catfish thingy so much, because we won't be visiting again...

“Great Location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

While visiting the French Market, my family decided that we needed to find somewhere to sit down, eat and do a little people watching. Seeing as how the location of the French Market Restaurant was amazing we figured it might be pretty good. If your looking for good diner food, this is the place for you, looking for a New Orleans diamond in the rough keep going. After sitting down and browsing a limited menu we went with some crawfish and a cheese burger. The burger was the equilvalent of a concession stand burger and the crawfish were cheap but completely over spiced. Over all if you are in the area its not expensive and in a great location.
