“Great Place to Stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012 via mobile

An excellent place to stay. All of the staff were excellent especially Heather at the desk... she was always smiling, willing to help and just awesome. The junior suite we had was perfect and the entire property stayed VERY CLEAN. The breakfast was nice and changed on a daily basis. There was a safe in our room to lock up stuff if we chose to. Only problem I had was a crappy wifi connection in my room. We were on the very corner of the property (201) though and the signal was excellent throughout the rest of the hotel/inn. Wifi was more of an irritation than a problem... I mean, I didn't come to NOLA to check out their wifi but would have been nice to have a connection hat didn't drop over and over again. The hotel was Walking distance to everything.... The interior was very nice and we loved the fact that it was an old warehouse before. You can see exposed beams and such throughout the property. Very happy with our choice. Will stay here again.

My two friends and I were visiting New Orleans for our first time. After reading numerous positive reviews of this hotel on here we decided that this would be an ideal choice. First impressions were very positive. Check in was excellent, the staff were friendly and welcoming and the rooms were clean and spacious. Everything went well until our third night when my friends and I decided to stay in. We sat in our room chatting away until around midnight when there was a knock at the door. It was a member of staff telling us that they had received two noise complaints and we needed to keep the noise down. Saying that we were surprised by this is an understatement. We were chatting at normal volume, there was no music playing and we certainly were not raising our voices. The member of staff even admitted they couldn't hear anything. We explained this and went back to chatting with lowered voices. Five minutes later the phone rang and we were told that another complaint had been received! Again we explained the situation and then spoke to each other almost whispering. Unbelievably there was a knock at the door 5 minutes later telling us another complaint had been received! The staff member told us the walls were thin and we basically should go to bed! Now, I don't care how many positive reviews this hotel has, telling 3 people who have travelled all the way from the UK that they need to go to bed because the hotel has thin walls is RIDICULOUS! Surely the person who was complaining should be told that due to the thin walls some noise is going to occur. Instead the staff completely passed the buck and made us feel quite unwelcome! A shame as this is a great hotel. Unless you want to talk after midnight!

We spent 4 days at this hotel with a large group who were all in town for a wedding in Jackson Square. We had a wonderful experience. The hotel staff were so nice and accomodating, and I really felt they went out of there way to make sure we were taken care of. The front desk staff and concierge were always friendly and helpful. There were housecleaners everywhere making sure everything stayed very clean. The maintenance staff brought us a brand new refridgerator still in the box when we told him ours wasn't keeping our drinks cold. And the valets really did an outstanding job. They knew we had specific times to be places throughout the weekend and they ordered taxis for us and made sure we got to where we needed to be. Don was particularly hepful during checkout and helping us to get packed up as quickly as possible. We will definitely be staying here again, and highly recommend this hotel to others.

Room Tip: The standard room with a King size bed was pretty small, but still just fine for a couple.

Stayed here for 4 days good location all rooms different but very spacious and very clean had a microwave and fridge also in the foyer nice biscuits 24 hrs. I would like to thank all the staff and the concierge ladies for looking after my friend after her bag was snatched in the street. The staff could not do enough to help her. It was not a nice experience but the staff at this hotel went the extra mile to help her and therefore made us realize that it is only the minority of people in New Orleans that give it a bad reputation. I will look for this hotel group again when I am next in the USA forgot to mention Breakfast very good nice choices.

We stayed at the Country Inn Hotel on Magazine Street for 11 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. The hotel is so well run and as a friendly atmosphere throughout. The staff just can’t do enough for you in all areas. We chose the hotel because there was a Breakfast included in the price. Also the addition of a fridge and microwave was another reason.

The breakfasts are excellent, hot food buffet plus fruit juices cereals toast waffles yogurt porridge and hot drinks and fresh fruit and more I may have forgot. Hot drinks and cookies were available 24 hrs Free.

The Hotel is on the edge of the warehouse district an ideal position, two blocks away from the French Quarter two blocks away from Canal Street and St Charles Ave street car lines and 10 minutes walking distance from the river.

Our room a King size on the 3rd floor overlooked Magazine Street and looked down on the New Orleans Board of Trade building where we saw two weddings take place in its grounds. The room had two exposed brick walls adding to the atmosphere of this converted warehouses with its high exposed beam cealings. The room was very clean
and well fitted out with large flat screen TV and accsess to the internet. The courtyard pool is small but nice and warm and in plesant suroundings, it also as a small fitness room which we found adequate. Exelent hotel we would visit again next time in this great city.

Room Tip: We can recommend this Hotel we have spent four vacations in New Orleans in different hotels But this...

I was imagining more of a cookie-cutter type hotel but when I walked in, I could tell I was somewhere special. The hotel used to be 7 historic buildings/locations but they are now all put together as the Country Inn. The ceilings were neat - exposed beams and pipes. We had a great check-in experience with Nathalie and enjoyed a couple of cocktails at the bar with John the bartender. This is definitely going to be my go-to recommendation for friends that ask. The walk to Bourbon was about 4 blocks, but it's an easy walk. Swimming pool was small but heated so it was almost a hot-tub type feel.

My husband and I stayed for his 50th birthday. The hotel was interesting with exposed beams and bricks. The service was fine and everyone seemed friendly. The hotel was very clean, there was always an employee cleaning the hallways. The maid service was fine too. As a couple the hotel was perfect. There is a lovely little pool here in a courtyard which was a nice place to have breakfast. If you are traveling with children who are older this pool would be a dissappointment because it is so small albeit it lovely. The breakfast was decent, certainly enough to get you started. It is a short walk to Bourbon street. We only took a cab to and from the airport and walked everywhere else. We walked as far as Frenchman street. I felt fairly safe walking back a night. There was always a character or two and on the corner of the hotel there is a bar that had some people spilling out into the street. Not a big deal.

Room Tip: The reviews stated there was alot of street noise and to chose a room facing the alley. Unfortunat...
