“Truly unique;NOLA at it's best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2011 via mobile

We stayed here for 5 nights in a suite(room 304). As soon as we entered the hotel we were greeted by the friendly and always helpful concierge. Check-in was a breeze. They offer snacks and have a small bar that has a happy hour everyday. They offer free breakfast that includes both hot and cold options. We enjoyed the French toast and breakfast burritos.
Complimentary coffee and cookies are available 24/7.
The architecture in the hotel is
amazing. All the stone and foliage make it very unique. The courtyard
features outdoor patio and a
refreshing pool to take cool down
after a long day of walking.
The suite has a king bed with a
window facing magazine street.
Two flat screen TVs and a separate sitting area with a pull out couch are also in the room. Fridge, microwave and coffee maker aloe you to store any beverages you may have or heat up a snack or leftovers.
Amazing hotel amazing staff and amazing New Orleans!
We will stay here again when we return to NOLA!

We spent only one night here while visiting New Orleans. The location of this hotel is excellent. Walking distance to Bourbon Street, the streetcar pick up spots, Harrah's Casino and many bars and restaurants. The hotel itself is several buildings connected in a way that you almost don't realize its not just one building. The exposed beams make the place feel really old world. The bed was so comfortable, not your typical hotel room mattress. The room was equipped with a mini fridge which is convenient for soda and snacks. While breakfast was included in our room rate, the breakfast area is really small and congested. We ended up not being able to really take advantage of what they had to offer to eat, couldn't get close enough to the food to put any our plate! Also, a small complaint but the hand towels need to be upgraded. They were so small and thin you'd need two to do the job one. All in all, we would probably stay here again.

Glad you had a great stay and hope you come back soon - New Orleans is definitely worth spending extra time exploring. I will definitely pass along feedback to both breakfast and housekeeping so they can keep an eye on everything. Thank you for your feedback!

Our second stay at this really excellent not so little Inn in NOLA. We love the location, close to the quarter, but quiet at night when you want to turn in. An easy walk down Canal to the Riverfront, and up Poydras to pick up the St Charles street car. The entire staff, front desk, valet, maintenance and cleaning are all quick with a friendly greeting and to lend a hand if needed. The rooms are smallish, but have a fridge (if requested) and the beds are really comfortable. A really good vigorous shower too. A fair breakfast is included, perfect to start your day, because you'll eat fabulous New Orleans food for the rest of the day.

You nailed all my favorite things about the property! The only correction I have to make is that every room comes with a refrigerator. So while you are out enjoying all that food, you can bring some back for a midnight snack no matter what room you are in! I am glad to hear that you had a great stay (again!) and we hope you come back again soon for a third visit soon!

Didn't have a car so we walked to everything. Fairly close to everything but we did put miles on the shoes. Also chose this place due to the free breakfast. The breakfast was just okay.

I booked through expedia. When we arrived the room we had reserved had been given to another person (we were there at 5:00 p.m.). Told me point blank that they don't honor expedia reservations and if someone else wants your room they will get preference over you, even if you booked the room months in advance (which I had). I told them they had my money for months but they still would not honor my reservation. They couldn't because they had given it to someone else. They sent me to another hotel at no additional charge and I got a room, but I missed out on some the festivities I planned to attend because of it.

I won't be back. Musty odor in lobby and clearly not a nice place to stay.

This hotel provides excellent value for money: great location, and a stylish interior - but the outstanding feature was the superb service provided by the front desk staff. Friendly, courteous and unfailingly helpful: indeed, all hotel staff we met were most welcoming.

Our room was not spacious, but very well equipped, and we did not experience any noise problems.

Breakfast was good - my only slight issue was that sometimes it's a little chaotic in there, but the staff do their best to keep up with the demand.

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The location was perfect, right in the French quarter, and in a safe area. The hotel was charming, loved the architecture and the set up. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet selection was wonderful. Friendly and accommodating hosts. Especially loved the concierge, Kathy, who was so helpful to us and gave awesome recommendations on where to go and what to do in New Orleans. She had helpful information on local tours, restaurants and hang-out places. We really enjoyed New Orleans.
