Byblos is at the high end of the price scale, and for Lebanese not as good as the much cheaper Lebanon Cafe. On our most recent visit the food was good, if not special, but the service (kitchen + waitstaff) was terrible, and the atmosphere was challenging.
We were seated in a window seat, and within minutes were stressed out by the pounding MIddle Eastern techno music. It would have been fine in a techno club, but had no place in a restaurant. A table opened up outside, but were were told 3 parties were waiting for one. After 15 minutes the music quietened somewhat. The table outside was seated, attended, served, and finishing by the time we received our food (about 45 minutes). After we finished and received the check, we faced a similar wait for the check to be picked up. We finally walked the bill up to the reception and paid there. That took a while, too.
Horrible service doomed what would have be a good (3*) meal.
