“Great food and greater drinks!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

Creative specialty drink list. The bartender went out of his way to tweak them to perfection! The between lunch and dinner bar menu is short but awesome. My favorite NOLA restaurant!

“Best crab cake ever!! The reviews don't lie!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013 via mobile

Went in just to have a drink at the bar and try a crab cake. After looking at the entree's everyone around us was ordering my wife and I stayed and were not disappointed with our decision. Everything was outstanding. Gumbo was fantastic and the grits and bacon wrapped shrimp was too. Very very busy place but it's that way for a reason, The food! Highly recommend.

“Food very bland”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

The gumbo was bland. Very disappointed. Absolutely, no authentic seasonings in the food. Service was good.

“Seasoned Winner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

Our party of 3 expected a more casual atmosphere, while our waiter seemed intent on formality but the food is what made this dinner a winner. The pork chop I consumed was the best served anywhere. Thick, cooked to retain its juicyness and seasoned with lightly blackened Cajun/BBQ seasoning – it was excellent. The famous BBQ shrimp was very good as well. A wood grilled fish was also enjoyed. The bread pudding and the hot buttered pecan pie w/ vanilla ice cream were first rate. We asked to take our time with drinks and ordering and we were well accommodated.

“best crab cake”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

It is expensive and our service wasn't great, but I would go back for the unique crab cake. It's a little weird having bread wrapped in paper thrown down on your table while within sight on a plaque that says President Clinton sat here.
