“Loved their food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

I guess opinions about po-boys are like, well, you know.
I cant tell you how many different places I've eaten po-boys at in and around New Orleans, but this place is truly one of, if not THE best. I loved the shrimp po-boy, and contrary to a couple of negative reviews in here it's not just the amazing fried shrimp, but the bread that makes the po-boys here so great. The flavoring of the shrimp was wonderful, and they were cooked perfectly.
Don't let a couple of negative reviews keep you from trying this amazing New Orleans original. It's spectacular, and I can't wait to go back.

“Great po-boy...maybe the best in the city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2012

My wife and I are native New Orleanians, although we have lived in California since the 90’s. We were in New Orleans on vacation this summer and headed on over to Parkway for some po-boys. What can I say about this place? In my opinion they make the quintessential New Orleans po-boys. I got the shrimp po-boy and it was pretty much perfect. Perfect bread, perfectly cooked shrimp and perfectly “dressed” (That’s New Orleans lingo for lettuce, tomato and mayo.) I got a Barq’s root beer to go with it and I’ll tell you what, it was heavenly. If there’s a better po-boy in New Orleans, I haven’t tried it. Run; don’t walk, to Parkway next time you’re in New Orleans and in the mood for a po-boy. You will not be disappointed.

“What da locals eat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

Yeah, we say dat, da, dem, does and yo momma. If it's good enough to take yo momma to, then it must be good eating. You order and they make up the Po Boy. Try the roast beef with gravy, fries and something to suck it down with. Eat outside or inside and watch all the locals.

“It's really not all that!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Yes, this place is touted as being the place where Presidents and other famous folks have eaten but don't waste your time if you're looking for a great poboy or gumbo. You'll pay too much and the poboys are highly overrated. Go to Broad and Banks Street Seafood and you'll get a poboy for $10 bucks cheaper and tastier.
