“YUMMMM!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

The Boo Fries were delicious. The fried crawfish poboy and the Acme 10-napkin roast beef poboy are what dreams are made of. This place was very family friendly, but get there early to avoid a line.

“Get there early.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

Three words: Char Grilled Oysters.

If you don't get those you are missing out in the worst way possible. Also, try the fried soft shell crab. Wish I could've gone back for more!

“Worth the Wait!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

I was a little iffy about the 20 minute wait but once we were seated I soon learned that it was well worth the effort outside in the late afternoon heat. We ordered a bowl of gumbo (most places have small servings) as well seafood samplers. They bring alot of food, and I mean alot. I left there stuffed. The total for two people based on our orders was around $50.00 I really liked this place.

“Shrimp Po' Boys delish and the shuckers are even better...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

We love going to the Acme Oyster House. There can be a little bit of a wait sometimes but that's going to happen when your food is good. My husbands loves their oysters and I always get the awesome shrimp po' boy and we like to sit up at the bar and talk to the oyster shuckers! They are great, one gentleman has been there over 30 years, even worked thru Katrina when his house was 9ft under water, now that's dedication! Can't wait to get back there!

“Good, but no big whoop”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

I don't understand why there is always a line in front of this place. The food is good, but not worth standing out in the hot sun waiting for a table.
