This is my family's all time favorite restaurant for breakfast, brunch or lunch. It can't be beat for its omelettes, waffles, and simple family fare. The wait staff is always friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. There can be a line on weekends, so you either need to get there early or be prepared for a wait. Nearby college students probably survive on this downhome cooking, but locals are the mainstay, since it is hidden a couple blocks off Carrollton Avenue. If you aren't in the mood for breakfast (that is served all day) or brunch, they also have daily specials and standard lunch offerings like homemade cheeseburgers, club sandwiches and red beans and rice.
